Disgusting service. We been just in shock. First of all Our handycaped friend been completly dismisstreated with a staff. We called in advance and explained we will have a girl who can not walk and she will be with an electric chair. We did not know she will be with a electric scooter instead, which is much smaller than whealchair and works perfectly. When we arrived all went ok till the moment a girl with yellow hair came to us and started to be agressive and explaining to us that we can not stay here with a scooter and was asking to put it outside of restaurant, we explained that the girl is invalid and she can not walk to the toilet without scooter, she just didnt care was screaming that we must to take it out! So unprofessional, so angry, we been in shock. By the way we came to celebrate birthday of my friend and they knew it. After half an hour of scandal, girl with a yellow hair came to us and said to invalid girl, that she must let know in advance when she will be leaving, because she can not drive scooter and they will help her to WALK!!!!!Our friend was just ready to cry! she is disabled already a year and hardly can make few steps and she says she will HELP HER WALK OUT OF RESTAURANT!!!poor our friend she was ready to cry!!!! The girl could not even go to a toilet after, she been afraid that she can't drive scooter! We asked a very nice waiter who served us if she can slowly drive to a toilet. He said of cause and been sorry for a girl who made a scandal for this scooter. When our girl went to a toilet another waiter closed the entrance and said to her in spanish, that this is not allowed to take scooter to a toilet, been again aggressive , loud, when she tried to explain in english she is invalid and can not walk, he became much more aggressive and start to scream in spanish, that you are in Spain and talk in spanish here but not english!!! we been in shock!!!! other waiters came to him and said to let her in!!!! ! we been so embarresed! We invited manager to talk and he was so unhelpful. But we are happy that one of our good friend is head of Police Station in Marbella and this situation will be solved. What a terrible birthday we had!!! what a disaster! Really do not recommend this place EVER , though food was really good. Only what I can wish to the owners, change your staff and save your business because the place itself is great, just such unprofessional people...
Read moreMy recent visit to La Plage Casanis in Elviria left me thoroughly disappointed and dissatisfied. Despite the potential for an enjoyable dining experience, the subpar service overshadowed the otherwise commendable food, resulting in an overall negative impression.
From the moment we stepped foot in the restaurant, the staff displayed an astonishing lack of professionalism and regard for customer satisfaction. We were seated at an inconvenient table located behind the DJ booth, where the noise level was excessive and made conversation difficult. This was made even more challenging by the presence of a deaf member in our party who struggled to communicate effectively in such a chaotic environment. It is disheartening that the restaurant failed to inform us about the potential noise level or provide alternative seating options that would have allowed for a more comfortable and enjoyable experience.
To add insult to injury, the staff attempted to compensate for their poor seating choice by offering us complimentary drinks. However, this gesture turned out to be nothing more than a deceptive ploy, as we discovered upon receiving the final bill that we were actually charged for those supposedly "free" beverages. Our attempts to resolve the issue were met with apathy and disinterest from the staff, who demonstrated a complete lack of accountability and customer service.
While the food at La Plage Casanis demonstrated promise and showcased the flavors of Mediterranean cuisine, it is regrettable that the culinary highlights were overshadowed by the deplorable service. The seafood paella, which had the potential to be a standout dish, was diminished in our memories by the overall negative experience. The chef's skill and dedication to culinary excellence were unfortunately undermined by the staff's lack of professionalism and failure to uphold basic principles of customer satisfaction.
In conclusion, La Plage Casanis failed to live up to its potential as a reputable dining establishment. The lack of attentiveness, the deceptive compensation attempt, and the dismissive attitude of the staff overshadowed the positive aspects of the restaurant. I cannot recommend La Plage Casanis based on my experience, as the subpar service ultimately detracted from what could have been an enjoyable...
Read moreWe spent the day at La Plage Casanis and overall had a great time. The food was excellent — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Service was attentive and efficient throughout. The beach itself is one of the best in Marbella: soft sand (no stones!), crystal-clear water, and very comfortable sunbeds. The complimentary towel, water, and fruit platter were thoughtful touches that elevated the experience.
Surprisingly, the music was actually quite good — well-curated and lively without being overwhelming. It added to the energy and beach club vibe without crossing the line into intrusive.
However, there’s one major flaw that really needs to be addressed: there are no changing rooms. None. Not even a basic cabin. You’re expected to change in the restroom — which, to make matters worse, is located inside the restaurant. The restroom has no hooks, nowhere to keep your clothes dry, and a wet floor. You end up trying to change while balancing like a flamingo, holding your wet swimsuit in one hand, your dry clothes in the other, and praying not to touch anything.
But the real absurdity? You’re not allowed to enter the restroom without a T-shirt on. At a beach club. Where people are — naturally — wet and in swimwear. Security enforces this rule strictly, as if you’re entering a private members-only dining room instead of trying to change out of your wet clothes. The result: you have to throw on a shirt while wet, just to be allowed to go inside to change. It’s completely irrational and honestly quite frustrating for a venue of this level.
In short: fantastic food, great service, excellent beach, and surprisingly good music — but the complete lack of proper changing facilities, combined with impractical and over-policed rules, seriously detracts from an otherwise...
