Rubyana — Restaurant in Marbella

This restaurant was a true hidden gem we discovered thanks to a recommendation from a local resident. For over 30 years, they’ve been serving traditional national dishes prepared with authenticity, care, and the kind of flavor that only time can create.

Every dish tasted like a comforting home-cooked meal — rich, hearty, and incredibly delicious. The ingredients are fresh, the portions generous, and the service warm and welcoming. The staff are friendly and happy to help with suggestions. And if you ask, they’ll treat you to a traditional “chupito” — a small complimentary shot — at the end of your meal.

The atmosphere is simple but full of soul. It’s one of those rare places where it’s not the decor that makes it special, but the people and the food. As the saying goes, “The best meals aren’t made in brand-new pots, but in the ones that have cooked with love for many years.”

Starter, the shelfish soup was great. Generous ingradients of seaafood. Taste like home. Shrimp flavor was well kept in the soup. Cuttlefish was fresh and just cooked nicely. Rubyana sea bass and pork were also great. Sauce of port was a little to zalty. But acceptable. Sea bass does have fish bones in it. If you are not good at getting bone away before eat it or you have a kid shaing dish, then it might be something to reconsider. However, fish itself was grilled very perfectly.
