Restaurante Espigón — Restaurant in Mazarrón

This is the 2nd day out of 4 that I have been here, I cannot and will not fault the food, but the service was disgusting, we were not given any bread thats not unusual, but when the bill arrived the bread was charged for, we pointed out that we had no bread, the bill was promptly taken away and when the man in charge returned with the amended bill no word of a lie he chucked the tray with the bill on at us it flew across the table, we live in Mazarron and eat out at least 3 times a week always in Spanish owned restaurants, never been treated like this before, WE WILL NOT BE GOING BACK, on the first trip there on Thursday we were so pleased with the service and food we gave a 20% tip, that won't be...

The first and most definitely last time we will eat here. Frozen Chopitos, tomato salad and mussels. 28 Euros! Dreadful atmosphere even when a lot of workers (fishermen?) came in to eat. Interestingly they didn’t risk any fish in this fish restaurant, they ate bocadillos. We should have followed their example. There was a woman, presumably the cook, screaming her head off in the kitchen, the doors do not fit so each time someone goes in or out they have to fight with the doors making a hideous noise. It certainly doesn’t make for a relaxed atmosphere, if the food was excellent the atmosphere or lack of it could have been overlooked, but it was horrible. Yuk yuk...

No se que ha pasado en este sitio pero desde que se fue "la jefa" (Maria Antonia creo que se llamaba la camarera) el servicio es un desastre. 3 personas pedimos 3 platos, nos traen solo 2. En la cuenta nos cobran los 3, se lo digo, me lo cambian, y al pagar me doy cuenta que han cobrado la primera ronda de bebidas, las otras 3 rondas completas nada....un desastre total. Además han bajado las raciones pero no el precio....lo intentaré en invierno a ver que pasa pero sin "la jefa" lo veo complicado....un lástima

Vuelvo a ir 1 año después y aunque la comida sigue siendo excepcional los camareros no sólo siguen igual de empanados sino que además no son nada profesionales......Estamos comiendo en una de las mesas, se baja una familia del coche y delante de todos los que estábamos allí comiendo el camarero que ejerce de Jefe de sala le dice al compañero que a esa familia la trate muy bien porque son clientes importantes. Me parece estupendo que el trato sea preferencial hacia clientes especiales, pero no puedes decirlo delante de todo el salón porque los que estamos allí también te estamos dando de comer....tuvieron la suerte de que nosotros estábamos terminando de comer, si me pilla al principio de la comida me levanto y me voy.....y ahí os quedáis con los especiales....volver...
