Brought the main course before we finished the starters and swapped over, didn’t provide bread or offer it with meal and prawn pil pil and when we asked it took 10 mins, before we asked again and then a further 5 mins to bring it. The bread was cold and not warm and so they took it back to warm it. Another 5 mins. By this time the rest of us had all finished our meals so my wife didn’t want the bread or the rest of her meal, so they took the bread back and still left it on our bill. We didn’t pay for the bread and didn’t tip either for the first time In our lives. There was no real apology either. It just felt like they wanted you in and out to take your money. Was more expensive than other places we visited that provided much nicer meals too. The one star was for the location, which is lovely.
Edit* Seems David isn’t happy with my review and believes it is all based around our not being happy with the bread being 15/20 mins late. Agreed we were certainly not happy that bread took that long to bring. We have eaten in 12 other restaurants since we have been here and they have all offered or just brought bread, but let’s put that aside for now. When people are still eating their starters, yours is in the unique position of being the first establishment I have come across who started to put our mains on the table and remove our starters before we’d finished or were asked if we’d finished. We were happy to let that one go, but the fact my wife’s food had to go cold before you could bring her some bread is ridiculous. The fact there was no apology and just a shoulder shrug is worse and then to include the bread on the bill (however small the price) is just bizarre. To be proud that people are unwilling to leave a tip in 30 years of eating out is not something I’d be proud of, but that’s your prerogative I guess. We will chalk it down to experience. Enjoy the rest of...
Read moreAvoid this place!! Very tempting being next to the beach but trust me, it’s not worth it. I’d recommend going to “the garden bar” just 2-5 minutes walk up the board walk. Service was terrible, took 30 minutes just to get someone’s attention to order a drink. 3 of me and my friends ordered the “Angus burger” for €15!! No word of a lie this includes 2 stale unbuttered / toasted pieces of cheap bread, an extremely low quality and gritty patty with no sauce or salad… safe to say I’ve had better quality / taste from a school dinner. My friends agreed but as they did not want to be rude and were absolutely starving therefore did not want to say anything and ate with disgust the whole experience they later said they regret sending it back / wasting the money. I however I sent this garbage back as it was not fit for a dog never mind human consumption. On a side note I could also see tables behind and all my side of us sharing this disgust with the food / service so it seems to be a common problem here. especially disliked “David” as a server as he made it clear the whole time he could not care at all and was extremely slow with service. He along with other their staff need significant training in time management and hospitality (among many other things)...
Read moreI want to give this place five stars, but I just realized that I have been being over charged by an older gentleman that works mornings and afternoons!!! Not kind! 😡 My cousins in Madrid warned me about getting robbed in Malaga and they were correct. The older man kept charging me 12 euros for a pint, but I stayed the entire day AND I’m staying next door. The younger staff then proceeded to charge me 4.50 for takeout beer in a plastic cup the same day. Just sat down this evening for two more and was served in the nice tall glass and only paid 4.50 for each! 🤦♀️
I also decided to confront the man this morning since I’m staying next door. Of course he denied it and I didn’t have the receipts because he didn’t give me any. GET THE RECEIPTS! Showed him the charges on my card but it’s in dollars and has fees so nothing matches. Just told him I wanted him to know I knew what he was doing...
