Dined here many times between circa 1995 and 2005 when my grand children were 4, 5,6&7 and having recommended many of our friends and family over the years since, the reports have been generally good. Regretfully this evenings dinner did not work out well. Two of us ordered the Calves liver, one well done, on e pink. The pink one was actually rare to blue if there is such a thing, no colour on either and regretfully full of sinus and veins. The other two meals were v good. However to spoil what had become disappointing the young waitress then cleared the table and accidentally spilt mint sauce all down the back of my daughter in laws brand new €240 white top purchased that day. My son approached the owner who once sat our grandchildren at his little desk and kept them entertained all those years ago to discuss the bill and lack of compassion shown, only to be told after some effort for an amicable payment resolution to be told “ So you came here 30 years ago, so don’t pay but don’t come back” Regretfully still no apology. Maybe we may hear after the dust had...
Read moreOn my recent holiday I stopped in to Restaurant Olé with my partner and her family, and what a lovely time we all had!
The owner, his son and the staff all gave us a very warm welcome, seated us and promptly took our orders.
The restaurant itself is in a quiet, but very pretty locale - at the top of a hill, please do keep that in mind if walking with elderly or infirm companions. Inside is decorated to a high standard, and very tasteful at that.
During my visit I had the Iberico and melon, goat cheese salad, and cheesecake. It was all very delicious! I also sampled some of the chateau briand that my companions ordered, it practically melted in the mouth!
If you aren't in the mood for a meal, you can also sit at the bar and order drinks and nibbles.
Olé is a classy, well presented restaurant with fairly priced, delicious food. I will definitely be back next...
