Unpleasant noisy polluted atmosphere, poor quality omelette and terrible service - reasons?
I think the original British owners have left now and it's now either owned or managed by a Chinese family although the menu remains the same.
The cafe is right next to a very busy congested roundabout in central La Cala with lorries, cars, motorcycles whizzing past with occasional police officers blowing their whistles to control the traffic 🚦 If you're eating outside, you're going to be breathing in lots of diesel and petrol fumes!
I can't comment on all the food as I've only tried the omelette which wasn't cooked through properly and runny in the middle. The cheese and tomato were raw and not cooked through properly.
The waitress, who I think was the owner's wife, was walking around the restaurant with her loudspeaker on her phone having various conversations, pulling out the chairs which made a terrible noise across the concrete without any awareness of her surroundings or the comfort of her paying guests! Coupled with the noisy traffic, it made having a conversation with my friend almost impossible!
The whole atmosphere was stressful and not a pleasant place to relax and have a conversation.
There are much nicer other cafes available in La Cala without these factors.
