Visited the newly moved and re-opened Konfusion last friday with friends. 6 of us in total and EVERY single dish we had was delicious. All beautifully presented and obviously made with love. Highly recommend the seafood kimchi salad, the foie(both ways), the salmon in tomato and coconut milk, the baby lamb, the cod with truffle..... I could go on..... deserts-lavender infused crime bruleee, apple strudel, every morsel of everything we tried was just so so tasty.... service was super friendly but not overbearing, wine flowed but wasn’t pushed on us, we laughed and chatted and ate (and all tried each other’s), then coffees and a lemoncello on the house to round it off. Not silly money, but feels like and tastes like Michelin star quality. Not a meal to be rushed .... savor every mouthful. New premises are bigger, well thought out, stunning with beautiful decor and furnishings. Hopefully with more room for more eager customers, it will enable the owners to gain the revenue they so deserve. Please go-you will be...
Read moreHeaded into La Cala originally intending to eat at another restaurant and visit Konfusion after for cocktails, however after looking at the menu we were excited to try the food there. We were greeted by a number of reserved signs on all the tables which we took as a good sign! The waiter that greeted us was lovely and unfortunately explained that they were fully booked however, he returned stating we could have a table for an hour and a half and then move to the bar- which was perfect and accommodating! The food (duck salad, croquettas, bravas and chicken skewers) was absolutely incredible well worth the price. The cocktails were also great and the waiter allowed me to mix and match the ingredients a little! We would 100% return here if in La Cala again, the staff were welcoming, friendly and efficient and food is absolutely amazing. Just remember to...
Read moreInteresting fusion of Spanish tapas and Korean cuisine. Examples include patatas bravas with kimchi flavours; this was perfectly nice but didn't come with actual kimchi on the patatas and I couldn't taste any strong kimchi flavours in the sauce. The chicken pate with a touch of foie gras was lovely, smooth with a rich flavour and came with a tangy mandarin and yuzu sauce which cut the richness nicely. The kimchi lime seafood salad was good, the lime coming through nicely but again the kimchi flavour was too subtle. Croquetas de jamon iberico were creamy and rich. Crispy duck salad with raspberry vinegrette was very tasty with exotic fruits. You can order most dishes as a tapas or larger racion portion. The food was all good and I'd go back but have deducted one star due to the lack of kimchi kick in some...
