Me and my girlfriend visited here on Monday night. The area was very very busy but the restaurant was quiet (about 8:45pm). After waiting at the entrance I approached a man with an iPad around him and in plain clothes with a bald head, didn't know if he worked there or not, turns out he did. I simply asked if he had space for two people.. he looked around, then walked off and hastily ushered us to a table for two people. The restaurant was near empty but every table had reserved on them. We ordered drinks with him, one beer and one sprite. There were no menus on the table and after seeing the type of food arriving, we decided it wasn't our type of food. When he came over to take our order I politely said to him in Spanish (solo bebidas) meaning 'only drinks' well, he was not happy!! He put his hands in the air in uproar and huffed and puffed like a child. He was very unprofessional and that confirmed we were doing the right thing by not eating at this restaurant. He needs training in customer service, I imagine the food is probably very nice but when this man is on front of house you will...
Read moreWe've eaten here many times now, and it has been excellent every single time. All of the tagines are delicious, as are the salads and the hummus. The home-made bread rolls and home-made Moroccan lemonade are also amazing. Everything here seems to be made in house, from the baclava to the preserved lemons. It's in a square right at the top of Mojácar village and has a nice ambience. The staff are super friendly too. On our last visit it was my son's birthday, and since he's coeliac they gave him free panacotta instead of a cake! I should mention that most of the dishes are good for coeliacs too. This has now become an essential part of every visit to Mojácar. I highly recommend that you...
Read moreNice meal and the service was warm and friendly. The old town was quiet, but the restaurant still had a buzz with most of the inside tables filled. Food was pleasant and nicely presented but not standout. The chicken skewer and the Klefka tagine were nice. I would order those again. The dips we had were quite bland and needed more seasoning and some acid like lemon to lift them. We would have preferred a flatbread or pitta to Caraway bread rolls which didn't really go with the dips. It was a first visit and off season so I'll probably try again when we can sit on the terrace and perhaps...
