Bar El Pipa — Restaurant in Murcia

I like this bar quite a bit. Jenny and José are nice to chat with as I continue practicing Spanish. Enrique is usually running around to serve everyone but also seems a friendly sort. However, I will say the prices were raised after the new year, and a caña is now at 1.70 which to me seems quite a bit above what's normal for the town of Espinardo. I enjoy going here but have to limit my drinking here as the 35 cent increase on beer adds up fast.

The meal plates (platos combinados) are a good price, not especially large but you're getting a good price so i don't complain. And in my opinion they make the best seafood salad (ensaladilla de mariscos) that I've had in the area. I also want to mention I appreciate just having a variety of Chinese-Spanish fusion items on the menu, it's a really unique fusion to try.

One thing I will say is that I've had two or three experiences with the typical clientele engaging me in conversation so they can rant about politics and life and whatnot. They go on and on about how stupid the president is and/or how life is horrible now and whatnot, and it can make it quite hard to just enjoy a beer and a pleasant chat.

Service during the busy hours can be slow, I've had to wait for a half hour for my food before, but in that particular case I was offered a free beer as an apology, and I felt that was at least a good effort by the co-owner to make up for the wait.

In the end, I think you generally will walk away happy...

Éramos clientas habituales, un día fuimos con unas amigas de cervezas y a comer, al pedir la cuenta no la dieron de boca y nos pareció un precio bastante elevado, al pedir el ticket tardaron un rato en sacarlo, al revisarlo nos dimos cuenta que habían inflado algunos precios que nosotras sabíamos al ser clientas no solo eso, sino también sumaron varias cosas que no habíamos pedido. Después de un tiempo hoy hemos vuelto a darle otra oportunidad ya que el sitio y la comida está bien. Para nuestra sorpresa a vuelto a suceder lo mismo, al pedir el ticket se sienten molestos, han vuelto a tardar un rato y entre risas salía a dejarme la cuenta, que nuevamente estaba mal con más cantidad añadida. No volveré y es...

Siento mucho decir que va de mal a peor. Un sitio buenisimo, eso sí. En cuanto a lo demás un bar cualquiera llevado por alguien que no sabe, por desgracia. Voy a hablar de mi última experiencia, tengo más pero con la última sobra, pedimos un litro de cerveza (caliente) además tardamos 15 minutos en q nos limpiarán la mesa. Aunque el camarero paso 20 veces por delante de vuelta de servir otras mesas y con las manos vacías y no quito absolutamente nada. Tuvimos que devolver las copas mal frenadas. Cerveza caliente. Se nos quito las ganas de pedir más cosas. No lo recomiendo en absoluto. Sólo he contado mi última vez pero de verdad, no volvemos más ni muertos. Buscar...
