AS BALEAS MUXÍA — Restaurant in Muxía

Top 10 Worst experiences in my life! I am a South African walking through Spain with my wife on the Camino and arrived in Muxia today excited and hungry. We immediately entered your restaurant with hopes of having a cold beer and two great pizzas. The restaurant was 80% empty and as we just arrived wanted to be seated so we can both see the ocean. The only table allowing us both a view was a 4 seater which we took. Your waiter insisted that we move to another table where one of us would have to look into the empty restaurant. I insisted that I want to remain seated where I was to enjoy the view with my meal. Multiple people then aggresively approached us to move the the other table. At the same time another patron outside was seated at a 4 seater table smoking and having a beer, no food, but that seemed to be fine? Now where I come from any restaurant owner would be too happy to allow us to be seated as we pleased and happily take our money and custom. Pues la verdad es que me resulta triste tener que escribir esta reseña, pero como ayer me ha pasado a mí y en su día me han llegado ecos de palabras similares por parte de la misma persona encargada de la barra, procedo a contar mi experiencia. Vaya por delante que si bien no soy habitual de todos los fines de semana, mis hijos iban a menudo. Y digo iban porque el dinero que sale de mi bolsillo no va a mantener maleducados o maleducado, como es el caso. Como digo, en el día de ayer nos sumamos a una mesa de la terraza, la cual estaba previamente atendida y cobrada. Al ver que tres camareros para terraza y sala no daban hecho, me levanté a pedir nuestras consumiciones ya que se estaba demorando mucho y los allí presentes ya les faltaba poco para acabar su consumición. Está básicamente es la conversación: -Hola, me pones un ribeiro y un ribera de Duero? -te tienen que atender los camareros -ya, llevamos tiempo esperando y por eso me acerco yo aquí, para agilizar. -“si no estás agusto coges y te vas, que hay más sitios” -perdona, cómo dices? -que estamos en fiestas y hay que empatizar con los camareros, sino estás agusto te vas.

Donde no hay, no se quita, por lo que considero que ni voy a perder el tiempo con una hoja de reclamaciones ni ir corriendo a decirle al dueño lo que dice la persona que tiene empleada y cara al público. Miguel, poco favor te hace esa persona. Por cierto, uno de los que estaban conmigo en la mesa sin saber lo que me pasó, fue a pedir una consumición y vino con ella servida por esta persona. He visto perros en la terraza metiendo la cabeza en el plato de la mesa próxima, desaires con jóvenes, y más cosas que ya se han corregido, pero cuando a uno le toca, pues hay que dejar constancia del hecho. We stayed in Muxia for two days at the end of our Camino and we literally ate ALL our meals here. We had the best pizza we had had to date on the Norte - fresh crust. Delicious, generous toppings. The pasta dishes we had were fantastic (chicken tagliatelle and lasagna). We also tried the salmon poke bowl and the salad with peach and shrimps. Yummy and super fresh. We also sampled the desserts. All were good, but the goat cheesecake with berries jam really stands out. The service was prompt and very courteous with personable servers. I’ll be back tomorrow...
