El Pintao — Restaurant in Níjar

Portions are large and the food, although not elaborate, is cooked with care, and the ingredients are top quality. Our salad from local producers was enormous, delicious, and could have served 4 - we were two. The sardines were perfectly cooked, the 'pluma de cerdo iberico' a juicy, and not too fatty cut from a pork loin, was accompanied with a pile of delicious chips, roasted pepper, and courgettes. The homemade hot apple strudel with ice cream rounded off a really delicious and enormous meal. It wasn't what I'd call cheap, but there really was enough food for four. Cannot speak for the food, only had a cafe con leche. The service was good and the staff were very very nice and friendly big smiles seriously pleasant people and attentive. The reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is the coffee was lukewarm. First time in all my time in Spain I have been served a lukewarm coffee. Weird because it was tasty and looked the part too. Cute cups even. Very odd it was so cold in comparison to every single coffee I've gotten here in Spain. La primera vez que fui tenian tapas y raciones ,todo muy rico y tapas caseras muy recomendables.

La segunda ya fue de comedia (puente del 1 de mayo ) curiosamente solo habia raciones, el camarero super despistado pero muy gracioso ,solo taba nota el otro camarero que era el dueño.

Varias personas se marcharon despues de esperar sin que les limpiaran la mesa (si no las pueden atender mejor que las quiten )

Las raciones tardaron lo suyo ,pisto ,tabule de verduras,gallo pedro,ajo blanco excelente todo. La verguenza fue pedir una racion (no ponian medias) de solomillo ,para que te pongan 3 trocitos de solomillo con patatas fritas congeladas (plato estilo happy meal) que al preguntarles si la cuenta estaba bien responden que si que son 3 trozitos !!
