Sure, the pizzas look good, but to be honest, knocking up a good pizza is not rocket science. But when I go to a place to eat, I like to know that there is someone with a bit of empathy providing my food.

The attitude of the owner of this place was outrageous. I was with my eight year old daughter and on a restricted budget. We took our place at the table and ordered a couple of pizzas. When asked what we liked to drink, I asked for tap water. I was told that it was not drinkable, which of course was not true. However, I politely said that we would not be needing drinks, and shortly after got my small bottle of water from my bag and proceeded to fill my daughters glass.

Quirky little restaurant in the heart of beautiful salardu old town. La estrellita is a small pizza joint that also offers some pasta dishes salads and very good nachos. Pizzas are the thin crust type and delicious. Price is reasonable and service is nice and efficient. I messed up my reservation and the owner found a solution for me even though it was a busy night. Thank you! The only downside was the high level of noise when all the tables were filled. Extra bonus is the locally brewed ipa beer. Amazing! There is a nearby parking lot about a 5 minute walk from the restaurant. It gets busy during weekends in high season. Lamentablemente no llegamos a cenar porque al sentarnos el camarero Álex vino a tomarnos nota y al pedirle un minuto más para decidir nos espetó: "ya veréis pero ya te he avisado que tenéis poco tiempo para cenar". Gran sorpresa la mía porque al entrar a pedir mesa me dijo: "cuando se levante esta mesa pasáis vosotros". Al decirle que no me había informado del tiempo y de que habían turnps para la cena, insistió en que me lo había dicho y yo le dije que no (si me lo hubiera dicho y yendo además con dos niñas pequeñas no me habría quedado teniendo solo 40 minutos para cenar). Sus respuestas: "no sé porque tengo q discutir contigo" " si no te has enterado pues esto es lo que hay". Un grosero!! Maleducado y si tenía mal día que no se dedique a la atención al público. Pero así no se atiende a nadie. Si se le había olvidado decírmelo hay otras formas de hablar con respeto...
