Me and my friends had lunch at Restaurante El PUENTE in Nerja, and it was an excellent experience. Absolutely beautiful restaurant on the outskirts of Nerja town centre, with its own car park across the road. Came here for lunch, which for the Menu Del Dia (set menu), is €14 Monday to Thursday. Included a drink, starter, main, bread and dessert. All of the food was fantastic, very hearty home cooked meat and potato soup was the highlight for me. Had swordfish for main which was also good and ice cream dessert. My friend had the custard dessert which was even better! Comes with any drink... Coffee, beer, wine, soft drink. Very short wait time, and attentive staff. Definitely worth a visit.

Not sure why this has such good reviews. Our experience was not good:

location is right next to a busy road so sitting outside all you hear is cars and lorrys.

drinks. The wine was like wine you add to risotto. Not for drinking alone.

food. And this is the big disappointment. I got red snapper. I expected to see a full fish but all I got was undercooked bits of filet. The middle of the fish slimy and cold. Chips were cooked frozen chips. My partner got calamari that was not cleaned properly, with frozen cooked veg. Bread served in a plastic bag. Rotten.

service. Credit where credit is due the service was good.

But that food was rotten. It’s cheap. But you get what...

A very typical menu with some classic Andaluz dishes available. It is extremely reasonable. They run a 12€ 3 course menu alongside the a la carte. All the food came out very quickly and was absolutely delicious. The service was patchy, but the lady who took our order was meticulous and most definitely in charge, she was great. The setting is very nice, however it is next to the main road into the town, so it can get noisy with cars. It's a mainstay, and I go every time i visit here to eat the more classic dishes, you can't go wrong. 2 children and 4 adults with drinks cost us €100, I don't think you can find that quality to price ratio anywhere else...
