First of all about pluses. The food is really fresh and tasty. I still recommend this place if You will be carefull while ordering and paying the bill. Now about minuses. Different products are served by weight. We ordered 100 grams of razor clams, 100 grams of clams pil pil and fresh calamari by weight. Everything was delicious and after dinner we asked for the bill. After the bill was presented I wondered, that instead of ordered 100 grams of clams pil pil they charged me for 430 grams! I told the waiter, that I have ordered just 100 grams and this was exactly what was on the plate! He pretended he does not speak English. Fine. I showed him the picture, where is clearly seen that these 14 clams can not anyhow be 430 grams (even in raw weight!) which is compared to huge calamari which is around 500 grams. It just can not be and finally I did not ordered more, than 100 grams anyway! He just wrote on the paper tablecloth, that I need to pay for 430 grams and that's it! No excuse, no attempt to communicate! So, In total I was charged 8.35€ more. I did not want to argue, but now I aware everybody, that you probably need to write your order on paper and make the picture of it before ordering. Otherwise you can face similar situation. All pictures attached. If management would like to compensate me my 8.40€ I would...
Read moreNo reservations. First come, first serve. The first night we tried to go there was a very long line for a table at 21:00. The second attempt we arrived around 20:00 on a Saturday night and had our choice of seats.
We were three and said we were there for dinner. Before we ordered, they downgraded us from two small square tables to one but then had to add the second table back because all the dishes we ordered weren't going to fit onto the one table. That was a bit odd and presumptuous but the waiter apologized and they staff took good care of us the rest of the meal.
Overall the meal was good. These photos have great eye appeal and these were the visual highlights: shrimp, red mullet, and lobster. The lobster was more pricey than we thought for what amounted to a single lobster and unfortunately it and salmonetes were slightly overcooked.
In addition to these three dishes, we had a mixed salad, garlic cockles, and tiramisu. We also ate two helpings of bread because we needed something to accompany the alioli and cockles. The tiramisu and ensalada mixta were very good. The cockles were again slightly overcooked.
With all that said, I would absolutely go again because maybe it was just a slightly off...
Read moreFirst I got to say that food is really good here, no question about that. Some of the waiters does not have a very nice attitude though, and the service is very very slow, we had to wait more than 30 minutes to even order.
We ordered a few different things and finally some cigalas (langostinos). The waiter asked me if I wanted 4 or 5 per person and I didn't think much about it and ordered 4 (we were 2 persons so 8 in total). When we paid the bill these 8 cigalas costed 55 euro, so almost 7 euro per piece. This was just a lunch so clearly I wouldn't have ordered that many of I knew the price, but the waiter obviously took advantage of the fact that I can't speak that good Spanish and guessed I wouldn't be able to properly ask what it would cost. The error is of course on my side for ordering without knowing the price but still not a very nice thing to do.
But like I said, the food is definitely good so if you don't have any problems handling grumpy and slow service it is worth a visit, just keep on eye on the cost of the things...
