Casa Juanmi — Restaurant in Oliva

We went after a recommendation from Nikki so we decided to go on Saturday and weren’t disappointed. Inside was quite busy so we had to sit outside which was fine as we hadn’t booked. We ordered our drinks and were given the menu. We chose the potato house salad and shrimps cooked in Limoncello and garlic for starters and then roast Lamb and the marinated pork ribs for mains. Wow is all we can say as the food was some of the best we have eaten certainly in Oliva. Veronica the owner and front of house was very friendly and has a fabulous way of looking after her diners and was happy to chat as she topped up Jacqui’s wine and told us about the desserts to choose from. Yet again I was spoilt for choice of an amazing selection of desserts including fig crumble, triple chocolate cake, and among others the New York cheesecake which is what I went for. It was absolutely delicious. Such a shame we’ve only just found this restaurant just before we return to the UK but rest assured we will go back with friends upon our return. We went on a Tuesday on the last day of the Fallas festival in Oliva . They had a lot of reservations but we didn’t. We called and Ms. Veronica found a way to accommodate us for a table for two. She was so kind and generous. Then Peter took our orders and he was great too. Everyone is family and very friendly and kind. The food was delicious and very well seasoned. Loved the Pulpo appetizer… the Ozobuco was delicious and the ribs too. We had an absolutely wonderful experience last night at Casa Juanmi. The owner and his team are fantastic - incredibly warm and provided impeccable service. The wine prices were very reasonable, and the ambiance was incredibly relaxing. Everything was flawless.

The chicken and mushroom croquettes were a true delight. I can't say enough about how perfect everything was. We had a very tasty american hamburger and pork fillet with a delicious rum sauce.
