McDonald's — Restaurant in Ondara

visited mcdonalds at portal de la marina 28/08/23 and had my worst experience ever in a food establishment. in a hectic everyday life, I took my 3 children for lunch, the youngest 1 year and 5 months. he sat in his pram at the table and we waited for the food to be served to us. when the waiter arrives with two full trays of food and drinks, the accident happens, he drops a large fanta with ice cubes without a lid over his head and the rest of his body. he is in shock, crying and all his clothes are wet and he is freezing cold and the pram is wet. I have to undress him and the only thing he has on is a nappy. We don't have extra clothes for him. the waiter who, by the way, had spilled another customer's drink minutes before gets some paper towels and starts to dry up. I try to communicate with him in English as we are from Norway, but he doesn't speak English so he gets another employee to talk to me. i tell her this is not ok my son is drenched and his pram is wet and he is only in his nappy and had a very bad experience. I ask what we are going to do with this, I want some form of compensation. she says she has to call her boss to ask. 10-15 minutes later she comes back and says that this is not possible and that the waiter said that it was I who had bumped into him so that the accident happened. very cowardly and blame me for this incident and not take any responsibility. Please check your camera. the incident occurred between 1:30-2:30 p.m. date is mentioned above. I tell her that this is not the truth and that I want compensation for the whole incident. she says i have to call my boss again. i probably wait another 15 minutes before she comes back and is offered free ice cream. I am offended by the offer and find it quite incredible that no one has apologized and in addition puts the blame on me. if it had been my fault, I would have taken responsibility for it myself, and not put the blame on someone else. i say my son is sitting there with no clothes, his stroller is wet, what am i going to do with ice cream?? I am completely shocked at the treatment we are experiencing and I am asking to speak to her manager. she tells me it's not possible and leaves me to work on. after being ignored by the entire staff + the lousy service and arrogance i follow her into the work area to confront her. she still doesn't seem interested in communicating and security is called. after both security guards and 4 police officers have arrived, the owners suddenly appear. a man and a lady who acted incredibly arrogant and complained to the police that I was disturbing their workplace and had entered the staff's work area. they were not welcoming and focused on the fact that I had done something "illegal". McDonald that's right in the shopping center, with seating area downstairs, upstairs, and outdoor balcony. This McDonald also has a drive thru and a McCafé.

Service-wise, this McDonald is pretty good during low tourist season. There is not much of a queue for paying if you decided to pay at the till, or not much of a waiting time if you are getting table service.

However, during tourist season (July and August), this McDonald is always packed. This McDonald wasn't designed to deal with large number of customers, so during tourist months, you have to wait to use the ordering machines (sometimes they don't work), you have to wait to pay, and a long wait for food. The waiting area is so small, it's a nightmare.

Hoy martes 13 hemos venido con mi familia a comer a McDonald’s de aquí de Ondara del centro comercial y me parece totalmente absurdo ver clientes como se quejan del servicio cuando realmente no llevan la razón la chica muy amable de McDonald’s creo que era la gerente se llama Laura ha salido para explicarle al hombre el porqué no le habían entregado el café o el postre pues ella comenta de que ellos se esperan en McDonald’s se esperan un poco para evitar errar en el pedido y luego tener que tirar comida porque no no votan comida no tiran comida en McDonalds el hombre no la dejaba ni explicar el hombre le gritaba, le gritaba hasta se metió prácticamente adentro de la cocina Diciendo palabras y tal y intentaron dos compañeros atenderlo pero el tipo estaba insoportablemente enfadado que pasa que el resto de clientes que estábamos en la cola, pues nos atrasamos por estar viendo y escuchando al hombre al final pidió hojas de reclamación y la gerente muy amable, tratándole de explicar que las cosas no son como él miraba que no era así que intentando explicar, pero el hombre no la dejaba ni hablar entonces dos clientes que estaban en la cola, pues intentaron suavizar al hombre, pero no el hombre seguía gritando y gritando y gritando, tratando mal al personal me parece increíble. La paciencia que tiene la gente de aquí de McDonald’s son aparte muy amables tienen una paciencia de oro lugar los hubiera sacado a gritos partido. Yo llamo a la policía hay cada gente que viene a McDonald’s que realmente no merece ser atendido. Sin embargo los chicos lo atendieron muy bien y aún así el hombre puso hoja de reclamación sin tener siquiera la razón ya se había comido. El helado ya se había comido los cafés se había bebido los cafés y aún así seguía pegando cuatro gritos. Ahí es increíble. La gente es una falta de respeto no respetan al personal de McDonald’s cuando realmente los chicos se esmeran y bastantes se esfuerzan por dar el pedido a tiempo caliente y en buenas condiciones. Nosotros contentísimos de haber venido a comer aquí a este restaurante la atención es una maravilla Laura y todo el equipo que tiene es una maravilla como nos atendieron y y me parece una tontería eso de la hoja de reclamación. De verdad que la gente es caradura eh encima que se les atiende bien todavía vienen a poner hojas de reclamación. Es increíble. Mucha paciencia para Laura y espero que esto no se les vuelva a presentar en esta en esta tienda la verdad que aquí son muy amables y todas las veces que hemos venido a comer aquí pues nosotros nos vamos súper...
