Spain is never good for fast food, but this place really takes that already abysmal reputation into territory that's bordering on the abstract.
The first issue: A ridiculous ordering and queuing system that, as is often the case in Spain, follows no apparent order whatsoever, with a backline of staff who clearly have nothing but contempt for the restaurant and the people they're serving.
The whole process of obtaining food from the place is just beyond a joke. We were there for an hour to get two chicken burgers and some fried onions, but they only gave us half our order and when we complained, the manager became extremely irritable and threatened to "smash my face in".
I am a trained MMA fighter and offered him the chance to come out from behind his counter to do so, but he simply pushed a large girl between us and went into the back of the cooking area, presumably hiding. The girl looked bemused, and didn't seem to understand anything about my order. Nor did she respond to my offers of combat. I was furious.
By this point, my son was in tears. I had previously engaged in a particularly nasty bout of combat in a burger king car park in Valencia, and this situation clearly brought all of that flooding back. Thankfully, no police or ambulances this time, just a very angry dad and a very disappointed son!
The place was filthy, and we had to move tables once because it looked like someone had wiped their bum on the one we first sat down at, and it smelled like it, too!
The second table was covered in oil, but by that point we were so exhausted by how awful the experience was that we just wanted to sit down, eat, and leave.
I then noticed that every other customer was getting the same treatment from this bullying manager, and no one seemed to be getting their correct order. There was a young chap who didn't seem to understand how the metal french fry shovel worked, too, and he was filling the bags about 1/4 of the way. I tell you, if we had ordered fries and had recieved a bag like that, it would have been ME who was offering violence!
As others have said, the drinks machine is a joke and requires a handbook to understand it, and there were no staff on hand to explain. Just dreadful.
There were many older people there who looked deeply disappointed and confused and from the smell coming from one couple, I think they'd both messed themselves in disappointment.
I would be very interested to know what the American head office would think of this situation, as it seems that this place is genuinely a consistent and well known disaster. Having waited an hour, the food wasn't even good. I can make better chicken at home, which is what I'll do next time. I can do without being challenged to combat when I'm trying to give business to a new place.
What a horrible, nasty...
Read moreBoris scammed us! We were 2 days before today at popeys and he didn‘t speak Any English because he said that he could only speak Spanish. Today he asked us in english if we want free ice cream. We said yes, so he asked for our smartphone to give a review at popeys. My friend didn’t have internet so I gave him my phone. We asked if we both get an ice cram and he said yes. He gave me a small cup because a bigger would be 3 euros plus. Then he said at the end that we only get one ice cream. In his comment on my phone he wrote that he did a nice job. Nice try Boris, maybe you will get a promotion when you...

And the quality. Well, check the photo and you decide. Because I’m not sure what pig they stole this from, to serve it here. But this place os to be avoided for sure.
Unfortunately this place also has no atmosphere, but to be honest….non of the restaurants here really have that. They’re just located smart, so kids can stop being annoying and eat what they want, while you...
