I should have left when I had the chance.
This restaurant left me with mixed feelings. From the start, I was greeted by a kind waiter. Since I’m from Thailand, I greeted them with a “Sawadee” and a “wai” as a sign of respect. However, the waitress gave me a strange look and said she was from China. I then asked if the chef was Thai, but he was also from China.
This should have raised red flags, but I thought, “Why not give it a try?” Maybe the chef had attended culinary school and learned authentic Thai cuisine.
When the food arrived, it looked presentable—at least mine did (Pad Kratiem Seafood). Unfortunately, my fiancée wasn’t as lucky. She ordered Red Curry Chicken, but the dish had a strange red hue, which seemed off.
As expected, the food didn’t taste anything like authentic Thai cuisine. The curry was bland, overly sweet, and full of onions—definitely not the flavor profile of Thai food.
My dish was okay, but it lacked flavor. I had to ask for more chili to make it somewhat enjoyable, and thankfully, the chili did the job.
Honestly, I don’t know how to put this, but they really shouldn’t call themselves a Thai restaurant. A more accurate label would be a...
Read moreThere is good selection of dishes and the portions are generous and the main courses come with plain white rice. Prices are ok, but be aware that the price on the menu excludes the 10% tax, which we feel is a bit naughty. Service was good, a bit too fast for our liking and the food presentation was plain, they could use different crockery to make the food look more interesting and appealing. We were dissapointed that our plates hadn't been pre warned, but the food was served hot. We ordered Mixed Starters, which was ok, the satay chicken in particulr was lovely. wheras the fish cakes were okish. We also had Thai Red Curry, Sizziling Prawns and Vegetables and Chicken & Vegetable Noodles. Typically Thai cooking uses chilies, which was the case and even though we wanted it mild it was too hot for us which affected the flavour. We'd rather have less chillies and more flavour. Overall not the best Thai we've had and probably...
Read moreDisappointing. Not Thai food, more like chinese. The pad gra prow they served was nothing like the Thai dish, it was a poor bad version.
Pad see ew was bad, again not the classic Thai dish.
The fish was terrible swimming in a sea or dark soy sauce. We have both been up all night ill.
There were a few people in there, the table next to us didn't know what Thai food was which seems to be like most of the clientel. The Thai Currys we had before were quite creamy ans bland, a bad version.
The only decent dish we had before which was mostly Thai was the Laab as it was chicken Minced!
Some British guy kept walking in and out of the kitchen helping himself to a jug of beer at the bar,, guessing the owner maybe because he acted like it but not a word to anyone, We definitely won't be back and won't be...
