Restaurante Mamma Mia — Restaurant in Orihuela

We arrived in Dehesa de Campoamor for a three month winter holiday at the beginning of December. We went to the first restaurant that we came to that looked nice. Mama Mia has a great menu which didn’t disappoint. Fried mozzarella for starters, great steak, chicken with tomato sauce and tagliatelle pollo. All delicious, well cooked, great service, dog friendly, clean and very reasonably priced.

This used to be THE best Italian restaurant on the Orihuela Costa, unfortunately it isn't today. Bruschetta starter has halved in size (& was tasteless & bland) but price has increased by about 25%. Lasagne dish came with no offer of parmesan. Pizza had a funny taste to it & did not have enough toppings, again it was bland and tasteless. Fries didn't arrive. Overall disappointing as this restaurant was superior to all of the others. I hope they change their chef back to the original otherwise its just 'another' mediocre...

We had dinner in Mamma Mia yesterday. We got the grilled lubina (seabass) and dorada fish. Both of them were fresh and big fishes! This is the first restaurant in Fuerteventura where the fresh fish actually tasted like fresh fish and we got such a big portion of the fish and for a very good price! The restaurant has a cosy romantic setting and the staff is very friendly and professional. Thank you for our great evening, the delicious food and above all your kindness!
