The Taste Of India — Restaurant in Orihuela

Enjoyed our meal here. There were only two other customers seated when we walked in, I was a bit put off by this as the other Indian restaurant we passed looked very busy...we stayed as we'd seen good reviews...we weren't disappointed. It's a nice place to sit overlooking the little square. The food was tasty, the main dinner plates were very hot and some of the curry dishes are kept warm with a table top dish warmer (the kind with little tea light candles underneath). The service was good. The draught beer wasn't great, a bit flat. The garlic nan is extremely garlicky! Would visit again if...

Excellent Indian cuisine. You have to ask for the set menu and portions are perhaps a little smaller, but the quality of the food more than makes up for this. We've been several times now and never been disappointed. Would definitely recommend.

June 2024 - The restaurant has undergone a major refurbishment and expansion which looks great. Food remains excellent as does the service. Still a regular when we're over and...

I don't normally eat Indian food, but I'm very glad we did. The restaurant is tucked away at the back of the square and could probably do with a little updating in decor. However, the staff were very friendly and attentive and the food was excellent. Great choices on menu and all served on warm crockery. The meal was flavoursome and tasty and excellent value. I will be eating more Indian food here...
