Been to Stone grill many times and would recommend it when its not summer or vaction.
But this visit was not one to remember and maybe the last time i eat there. The restaurant was full and we were a large group. Clearly the people working there had a little to zero control. It all went good when ordering and the staff was nice, but the problems startet when the food started cooming to the table.
To make it easier for them, we ordered in families. Ca 80% got what they ordered, but i think restaurants should have a 100% garuantee. First of was a 200g steak cooming to the table. No one had ordered a 200g steak. The steak went back in again. The rest of the food came to the table. Even the 200g steak came back, but no one had ordered that, but the guy next to me had ordered a 300g steak. He asked for it and then the 200g steak magically became a 300g steak🤩 Pretty embarresing given the girl next to him had ordered the 300g steak. It was clearly bigger than what he got. All of us sitting next to him heard it clearly that he ordered 300g and not 200g. It is okay to make a mistake, but to lie about it?
Next i ordered a double burger, but got a singel. Again they stated that i had ordered a singel, but everyone heard me say double🫡. Ok, mistakes happen but the problem this time was the staff and not the customers. In stead of trying to fix it like normal staff does they acted like it was not their problem and the facial expressions was warming NOT. They ment we had made the mistakes but to be honest its not weird that those mistakes did happen. Clearly unorganized and all over the place. Maybe clearify what has been ordered next time?
But one thing was positiv at least. The food was good and the people working in the kitchen derserves credit😇
Answer the owner: Cool that we got an steak exstra, don’t remember it but… The table was ordered up front and we were 12 people, the youngest being 17. Clearly there were other families that didn’t get what they ordered it seems🙃. I was orginally planning to delete the review since i like the place. We first got two strawberry daiquiris (£16 for both) which looked really good but tasted like I was drinking straight up hand sanitiser. We ordered soft drinks instead which they forgot about and we had to remind them. Food was not good at all, the steak is something you have to cook yourself but the hot plate works slowly so if you want it cooked medium or medium rare you will be sat there for 25 minutes for it to get there and considering the fact you have to cook it yourself the price is unreasonable. Read moreThis place used to be amazing - the service has gone down hill big time. After being seated we waited 20 minutes and no one came to take a drink order. If the place was busy I could understand but there we only 4 other tables and staff kept walking past. Ended up walking out. We have been customers for over 10 years and such a shame this is now the case and all the friendly staff have gone. Won’t be rushing back.
