This is the place to eat in Ourense for an authentic experience. It was exceptional! We are a couple looking for a good but unpretentious dinner and man was this an experience! The wine recommendation was excellent (regional) and went perfectly with our meals (10 euros pp). The host is extremely welcoming and really treats this place as his home. We were on our way home and we decided to drink a beer and cider. We decided to get something to eat as well. The owner suggested to try chorizo that just came in. The owner is very passionate about what he does. The food came out with some tomatoes topped off with olive oil and some bread. We ate the chorizo so fast, it was very delicious. Fuimos a cenar entre diario y la verdad es que es un sitio bonito, rollo cueva. El camarero muy simpático nos atendió agradablemente. Nos cantó la carta sin mostrárnosla, suponemos que al ser entre diario y agosto no tenía mucho producto. En fin, pedimos una racion mixta de croquetas, de setas y de bacalao (éstas estaban muy ricas) y solomillo con patatas. Venían 12 croquetas y la ración de solomillo también era abundante. La comida estaba rica, no estaba mal.

Nuestra sorpresa es que no nos dijo los precios de los platos, quizás también fue fallo nuestro el no preguntar pero como veíamos aquí el precio de los menús nos relajamos. Sin embargo en la cuenta, de ver el precio aquí de las croquetas a 5'90 y del solomillo a 7'90 nos cobraron a 9'90 y 12'90 respectivamente. Hay una gran diferencia, que también es culpa nuestra por fiarnos de los precios aquí colgados.
