Stayed for several nights recently and found the room to be comfortable, clean and reasonably quiet. My room was on the second floor at the front of the hotel. There was little in the way of disturbance from people outside at night but there was some from street cleaning about 2AM on a few nights.||||The room was a stereotypical Spanish hotel with dated brown furniture. Plenty of cupboard space but to use the top shelves you would have to be over 7 feet tall. The bed was comfortable enough but they do only provide the bolster type pillows which for me are too soft. The bathroom was bright enough but the bath was a little odd as it didn't have any taps only a powerful shower. Basic toiletries were provided.||||The bar is closed and there is no restaurant - not what you want when you've just spent 15 hours travelling. There are plenty of bars and cafes nearby though. So rather than operating as a hotel it's a glorified BnB. Which leads me on to breakfast. The basic breakfast is simply a couple of rolls with ham and cheese filling along with a croissant and a pain au chocolat. This is all pre wrapped in clingfilm. There is fresh fruit provided and they are happy to add to that with chopped banana and kiwi fruits. There was an option for tostadas but I didn't get offered this. Would be much improved by offering a breakfast buffet.||||Wifi worked well in my room and was good enough for work and watching some TV. The TV itself has limited channels and none that I noticed were in English.||||The biggest bugbear at this hotel is parking. As is common in Spain this hotel has an underground car park. It's on 3 levels. The first level is easy but only has a couple of spaces for the hotel. The second level is OK but the third level is really tight to get into and I put two nasty scrapes on my car trying to get down to this level. DONT TAKE A BIG CAR TO THIS HOTEL.||||||Overall it's all right but don't say you...

The inside acoustics are absolutely awful. ||If someone drops something on the floor above or below you - you hear it amplified.||DOORS - slam closed (I believe every person who stays in a hotel should quietly close a door ...) the slamming of doors can be heard from all floors of this building. Read moreStayed here on Business for three nights. The hotel is very cool. Great design, awesome service and a good breakfast! |Centrally located near the old town of Ourense this hotel is steps away from great restaurants, bars and shopping - with a focus on Spanish contemporary brands. |My room faced the back of the hotel and was very quiet - my colleague stayed opposite me, facing the street and her room was quite noisy. So ask for a quiet room! |Saying that, my stay was great and I would certainly recommend this hotel, and most importantly, should I return to Ourense, this is the only hotel I would chose to stay at. ||(Hint - Ourense has an AMAZING Michelin Starred restaurant called Nova - do not...
