Read moreThe food was amazing, really interesting flavours and techniques. The chef has done so well showcasing local produce, particularly Gofio which we were so happy we were introduced to, and it was clear this was felt by all the guests. The octopus dish was outstanding, very unusual flavours but worked so well together and I loved the way the waiter described how to eat it.
The service throughout the night, however, let it down. Once we had the attention of the waiter we felt engaged and catered for, but unfortunately they rushed around and passed us so much that we were ignored a lot of the time, and this got progressively worse as the night went on. I really hope it turns out that they were down a member of staff or something like that, and this might have been what caused the busy and rushed nature of the waiting staff. We were waved in by someone at the bar rather than greeted near the entrance like you normally would be in a restaurant. And it took quite some time to receive the bill and finally pay, nor were we asked if we wanted any coffee or after dinner drinks before this. It seemed like they needed a bartender or a maître d' (or both!), as the waiters were having to cover all of this too. It's a shame that the lack of staff let down a beautiful meal in a...
Read moreWow, what a find! We were wandering around on our first day of our holiday and found El Pellizco tucked away behind a small shopping centre. We liked the look of what we saw and decided that we’d go and eat there one night later in our holiday. So, a few days later, we walked in and had probably one of the most fantastic meals we’ve ever had. We chose our starters and were advised to share them when they came to fully appreciate the choices on offer - excellent advice. I would go so far as to say that you could probably order 5 or 6 starters between 2 of you, from the wide range on offer and treat it as a Tapas type of meal, but then you’d miss out on the wonderful main courses on the menu. The whole experience was truly fine dining at its best, how this restaurant hasn’t won award after award yet escapes me, but surely they will soon. The service by all of the staff was attentive without being intrusive and only enhanced our thorough enjoyment of the evening. Oh! and they’ve got a terrace that overlooks the sea and a very impressive wine cellar too. We ate on 10/01/24, 3 courses each, 2 glasses of Cava, 3 glasses of wine, tea and coffee, total bill €135. excluding service. If you enjoy good food, good service and want a bit of a treat then find a way to get to...
