Went here because the previous place we'd visited was closed. The food was nice but the waiter seemed to get confused between the English and Spanish versions of the menu. We didn't expect him to speak English and would have happily ordered from the Spanish menu but they offered an English translation, so we naturally used it. I think the problem was that the dishes weren't numbered, as I've seen done elsewhere and he kept switching between the two versions to try to understand what we wanted. He got two of our dishes wrong and brought a Spoon for Swordfish (I think he thought we ordered Soup?) and King Prawns instead of a Stuffed Sole, despite having a conversation about whether or not it was filleted, which he said it was! We did order another Sole dish but that wasn't filleted, so I don't think he could have thought we were talking about that one. They also let people smoke at another table under the awning, which wasn't pleasant while we were eating. The fish that they did claim to be filleted only had the spine removed and there were still a lot of bones in the sides. Probably...

Where do we even begin? This restaurant was the highlight of our trip. In fact, we loved it so much that we ended up having dinner here 7 times during our 10-day holiday—that’s how special it is!

The warmth of this wonderful family business is unmatched. You're not just a customer; you're treated like family. The staff's incredible kindness and genuine nature had us smiling every single visit.

And the food... spectacular. We sampled many dishes, but the seafood paella is undoubtedly the best we have ever tasted anywhere in the world. Absolutely flawless.

We cannot recommend Restaurante Avenida del Mar highly enough. It is an unmissable experience. We are already dreaming of our next trip back! Thank you for everything.

(already returned to the uk three months ago, tad late...

After a day out my husband and i decided to have a meal here .My husband ordered squid and i ordered breaded fish .when it came it looked quite nice .I put some salad on my fork and when i looked down at my plate there was a maggott crawling across the fish .my husband called the waiter and he couldn't appologise enough and said they have got alot of problems with the kitchen staff .I told my husband to eat his as his stomach is stronger than mine but it made me feel sick for the rest of the day .would not go there again plus the fact the they have put the prices up sky highnot that that matters if the food is good . It's €46 something for sea food soup for two people i think thats way too much after all its only soup with frozen...

Great views and the food looked lovely... unfortunately the prawns in this picture were off and after trying one and that it was pretty rancid... I didn't want to try anything else. The starter I had of octopus was nice. My partner gad chicken breast but that was over cooked. The staff definitely lack customer service skills and are short and a bit rude and tried to accuse me that it was because I didn't know how to eat a prawn ... not that understanding the prawns were off. I had eaten one... which now I'm spending my final day worrying if I'm going to be ill for the journey home.... shame because the food looked so nice and the views are exquisite

I’m really sorry to say the food here is awful. The waiters were very friendly, and nice people but felt like they just wanted to get people in and out. I had tuna Steak, which was a really overcooked rubbish piece of fish, the garlic butter on the top was nice. Potatoes tasted chemically, and tomatoes had no flavour. We also had baby squid, which tasted funny, was dry. Fish soup was the best thing but needed more pepper and salt. Aperol Spritz was nice. Sorry but we left very dissatisfied on our last night of our holiday. The price felt so cheap that the quality of the meat/ fish would not be good.

A very nice restaurant with excellent service. The staff proactively introduced us to Clipper, a unique soda brand from the Canary Islands, which tasted great. The dish in the picture includes potatoes, squid, and various fish, shrimp, and shellfish—absolutely delicious, especially the potatoes and fish. Don’t miss out on the Canary Islands' potatoes—they are the best in the world! The paella was also quite good, though I didn’t take a picture of it. The restaurant faces the ocean directly, making the experience even more relaxing and enjoyable.
