We tried to eat at this restaurant but after waiting 10min for someone to come and take us to a table, we decided to seat at one of the free tables, and what we got was a very rude “who told you you could seat” (important to mention it was peak of day - very warm and we have 2 kids) then we asked for a free table and a very rude men said that was the only free table for 6 people . When we finally could seat, this man kept insisting that if the “owner” was here he wouldn’t let us seat at that table because we were 4 adults and 2 kids (one of them is under 2 years) and “the owner” would insist in getting 3 tables Then he kept rambling that if we sat there we would pick a fight with the table next to us because we would be touching elbows (that was not the case) …. Finally after 15 minutes of back and forward we got the message.,,. He didn’t want us at those tables because when he stand up a similar group of people sat down (5 adults 1 kid) ….. but blonde! We were clearly not the ideal customer. Unable to try the food but definitely won’t recommend if you are...

Restaurante La Puntilla Casa Menso, located in Morro Jable, Fuerteventura, is renowned for its authentic Canarian cuisine, especially its fresh seafood offerings. Established in 1974 by a local fisherman named Menso and his family, the restaurant has maintained a reputation for quality and tradition.

Diners frequently praise the establishment for its fresh fish dishes, such as grilled squid and seafood paella. The attentive and friendly service enhances the dining experience, making guests feel welcomed and well-cared-for.

The restaurant’s ambiance is described as authentic and relaxed, providing a comfortable setting for patrons. While it can become busy, especially during peak hours, many believe that the quality of the food and service justifies the wait.

In summary, Restaurante La Puntilla Casa Menso offers a genuine taste of Canarian cuisine in Morro Jable, with fresh seafood, commendable service, and a...

Worst place we went to in Fuerteventura.

The service was slow, the staff could see we were waiting and didn’t say anything. Eventually we asked when the main meals to be served - unclear why we needed to ask for the food to start being cooked. The paella took over 1 hour to be ready, by which time the half of the table that was waiting had lost their appetite. We said we are leaving and they did remove paella from the final bill. Very patronising staff saying paella takes at least 45 minutes, which even if it did, over an hour is still a long time for any meal.

The restaurant wasn’t particularly busy when we arrived too.

We also asked for a salad with only vegetables, which came with half an egg…

In fairness, the other food that did come tasted okay, but we wasted a large portion of our day sitting and waiting here, rather than exploring the area and enjoying...

I really enjoyed this restaurant with my girlfriend! Good reception and service, a little fast in the beginning and slower in the end (probably because they were almost closing). Most important was the food and that was quite exceptional. I have been here a few times before and it was always great, but I really liked the rich taste of both the starter and main course we had this time. The wine (Volcano de Lanzarote) I can really recommend. Maybe not the most beautiful location although it's close to the boulevard, but still a nice place to spend your evening. In the end it's about having a good time with food and drinks.

Very knowledgeable staff that took great care ensuring no cross contamination. Even though gluten free items not marked the serving staff know everything that coeliacs can eat and they talk you through the menu. They've gluten free batter so I had the calamari, whopping portion size. Wasn't crispy but the squid was huge and perfectly cooked, creamy and white. Divine. Gf bread too and they gave me my own dips so no cross contamination. So thoughtful. A fab meal. Kids and dogs get treats which is a lovely touch. Highly recommend. I'll be going back.

I cannot stress enough how good our experience was. We had the seafood paella and the starter that had a variety of snacks (octopus, Spanish jam, wrinkled potatoes, shrimp, cheese and so on -check out the pictures-). Everything was DELICIOUS! However, my favorite thing was how friendly the staff is. The waiters are super smiley and funny. The menu is translated in 3 languages (maybe more). They gave us a kinder egg for our kid which was just the cherry on top. And, the prices are quite reasonable! Im definitely coming back.
