This restaurant was one of my highlights during our stay in Costa Calma!😍 (mid-end of September)
We were four people and popped up for dinner without reservations. Preferring fresh air and savoring the mellow warmth of the evening, we chose a table outside on the terrace with the view onto seaside.🏝️
The dishes were regular Spanish cuisine.🇪🇸 The menu was available in multiple languages. It may not be perfect tranlations, but you get what os being offered - that is all that counts, as long as you get it.😉 Our choices were Pimientos, Chipirones, Albondigas, Croquetas (Jamon), Queso Frito con Miel, Entrecote & Ensalada Cesar. We had cocktails and as a finisher, we ordered Barraquitos (!!!). What a superb firework for our tastebuds!🍾☀️
Yuma was our waitress and did us a good service by answering our questions, being attentive and serving us the excellent food - always with an authentic smile!☺️ It seems that all waitresses/waiters speak multiple languages. Yuma promised me to learn Turkish 🇹🇷next time I come to Fuerteventura.🤗😉
The tables and seats were clean, plain and simple. We were quite comfortable. If you are looking for a luxurious (seating) experience, this may not be your choice. But then again you would be missing out on fabulous food!!!
I warmly recommend this restaurant to anyone who prefers Spanish cuisine/tapas, good food and...
Read moreThe olives were great in number but not in quality - a lot had gone off, and been served regardless. The olives came with roasted garlic, one clove of which was half rotten but was cooked and served regardless. The salad was served with "duck ham" which seemed to mean cured duck (like the way you get cures ham) - this was my husbands meal and he is a fan of duck (and ham) and he can pretty much eat whatever is put in front of him, but he couldn't manage the flavour of cured duck (so ate the salad without it). The beef goulash served with chips was fine - the beef was cooked well in as much as it was tender; unfortunately, it was practically flavourless. I added the cooked garlic to add some kind of flavour. The staff were very friendly and accommodating - speaking good English as well as speaking Spanish (obviously, on a Spanish island) and German as well as having menus in all 3 languages. The staff were quick and helpful. The drinks were nice and refreshing; served quickly and cold. The place was full and they had many more options on the menu - mainly a tapas selection, with a variety of fish options (including shark). If it wasn’t for the gone off olives and garlic, and the disappointment with our main meals, it'd be a 5...
Read moreSo good we returned 2 days later 😁 We were staying about 15 minute walk away and chose to dine here due to the reviews. We returned here for our last night (despite being in an all-inclusive hotel); sooo worth it. First visit was €84 for a LOT of tapas, wine, sangria and soft drinks for 4. Deserts for 2. Second visit we went for more expensive dishes and still only came to €108, but ordered too much in hindsight. The guys serving are so helpful, advising we were over-ordering on both visits. My girls are not normally seafood fans but loved it all, including the shark. The only thing they weren't keen on was the cheese with banana jam but we were stuffed by then anyway. Great food, great staff, who took us into the kitchen to show us one particular special was quite large, hence why they changed the order from medium to small.
Edit: regarding another review saying no wheelchair access; i'm 99% sure there is a lift, but on the opposite side of the building (South-West side I think) to the stairs. I'll double check in a couple of weeks, we are making a rare return to...
