BarK — Restaurant in Palafrugell

Be careful tourist trap! As someone who travels all over the Costa Brava and loves to try new restaurants, I have never experienced anything so bad. We ordered several dishes that cost around 13 euros each. The portions of all of them were very small and simply a two tablespoon portion. So in order to not leave hungry you have to order minimum 5 of those dishes and end up paying minimum 60 EUR per person, which is a total rip off.

Furthermore one of the dishes we ordered was noodles with shrimp, which arrived in a carton container instead of a plate and without shrimps. When we informed the waiter that we received just noodles without shrimps he told me that everything was fine according to the chef. After calling him a second time and showing him that there were no shrimps, not even at the bottom of the carton container the waiter said that he will take care of it. The waiter came back with a small plate with 1 shrimp cut into several small pieces. Ridiculous!

This is absolutely the worst dining experience I have ever had. I will definitely never go back again and I warn others to avoid this place. It is pure scam and should be...

Both the food and wine menu are quite interesting, with a lot of promise, but your dining experience will be let down by bad service and lacklustre quality of food. Sometimes when a place has achieved success, the dishes that used to wow the customers, are just slapped down looking tired and without pride. If you can get any of the floor staff to attend to you they will take your order, but then not return to you for the rest of the evening, except to bang your order down and sprint away. Maybe it’s because I asked and was told that the mushroom risotto was made with ceps, but it came out with fairly pedestrian champignons. I would be ashamed too. I chose to pay at the bar rather than wait for a bill. Life is too short for bad...

Awful service and extremely unfriendly. Arrived 5 minutes before opening time and while all tables were made up and staff had nothing to do they refused to let us sit on the terrace. I was with two kids which really wanted to sit down and nevertheless they wanted us to wait outside on the street. We were send away with the message ‘have a nice life...‘ when I said this was not ok. Always really loved this place, from that time when they were in this small place in the street around the corner years ago with just the pinxos in the bar... but this I cant justify... pity pity pity!!!!
