EL RECREO BURGER — Restaurant in Palencia

Awful. We waited for about 25 min to have our burgers served only to find out that they were raw. Also, my wife's burger had some awful relish kind of sauce on the burger, when she explicitly asked for no sauce on it. The person who brought them apologised and offered to take them back to finish cooking them...only to bring them back 15 min later...raw! I put on my jacket and went to pay the two beers I had had when the same person, apologizing again was offering my starving wife to take them back to finish them in the kitchen! By the way, finish them in the kitchen means taking the burger and trying to fix the 'living thing' by removing the sauce from the bread with a knife and by this taking away a good portion of the bread, as well as coming back with the same 'living thing'. Overall, the service at the counter was inexperienced and not proactive. We asked what was on the burger and she said something along: 'I don't know, lettuce, meat, tomato' Well, it had some what it looked chewy (raw maybe?) bacon, so non pork meat loving people beware! The service from what looked the manager was Fawlty Towers like for reasons I have mentioned; I would have preferred it if she had taken 'Ramon' the chef to us and slapped him on the back of his head and asked him to apologize, instead, she twice offered us the pathetic excuse that 'es que las hamburgesas estas son muy gruesas' ' it's because the burgers are...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at El Recreo in Palencia, Spain, and I wanted to highlight the exceptional service provided by Selena. From the moment we arrived, she greeted us with a warm and welcoming smile, setting the tone for a memorable experience. Visto los comentarios o reseñas anteriores no me quedan palabras para describir la experiencia en el Recreo Burguer. Suelo ser muy crítica en restaurantes y hoteles pero aquí es simplemente un 10. Ambiente sencillo con un toque moderno y con practicidad. Servio agradable, eficaz y humano. Y la comida INCREÍBLE. La cantidad creo que está en su justa medida. A veces comemos con la vista y suele engañarnos. Destacar el sabor exquisito de la comida, sabor único, por lo que puede que haga de este lugar, un lugar muy especial entre otros. La presentación de la comida, muy importante, cumple con creces. Calidad- precio, a mí parecer un pelín caro. Pero todo en conjunto merecido. Alfinal la vida y todo sube y están a la altura del día a día y sobre todo a lo que ofrecen. Muchísimas gracias por ser un local que le gusta y disfruta con lo que hace, porque eso se refleja en el ambiente, en vuestro hacer y en los detalles. Muy contentos y agradecidos. Deseando volver y probar cosas diferentes. Pd: las patatas increíbles y super crujientes. Degustamos la hamburguesa de pollo chicken littel (el pollo riquísimo, no era la típica con carne prensada y rebozada. Si no que se veía q era pollo como de contramuslo, muy jugosa. Y el rebozado súper crujiente) y la Mortal combat con patatas, buenísimas.
