We visited this restaurant because of a recommendation of our local friends and we were very surprised by the experience.
We ordered two types of ceviche (seafood dish of raw fish/seafood marinated in a lime juice) - the fish and octopus one, as a starter and this was the créme de la créme! The best ceviche we have tried so far.
As a main course we were recommended to try the house specialty, which was delicious, too. A very tender beef loin made on grill, that melts in your mouth. Amazing!
If you love quality and original food, this restaurant is a MUST when in Mallorca. They have special and cozy atmosphere, the service is very kind and attentive. It is clear that the dishes are homemade and fresh and the price is very good for the quality and quantity they serve.
The only contra is the parking, in Génova it is not easy to park, as there is no public parking. However we found a small unofficial parking lot uphill direction Na Burguesa, and then just walked down to the restaurant around 3 minutes, so not a big deal. We will come...

Big portion, too many potatoes, the meat of the 'house speciality' is sort of too soft and a bit bland. There are two bowls of sauce on the table, one is an extremely salty chimichurri, the other a more spicy red sauce. Careful, because they automatically change you €3 EXTRA PER SAUCE once you ask for your bill. They offer a house 'iced chupito' but if you ask for a different more traditional one they say 'no, life is hard'.
I probably will never come here again because as usual in Mallorca (I've lived here for 20 years, and recently left), the last remaining greatest restaurants have sold out to mass tourism. Shame.

Read moreI've been to Meson La Rueda more times than I can remember. This last time, Valentines Day 2023, I was extremely disappointed. I have never felt such pressure to leave. We had the early shift, 7pm (Reservation). We arrived there at 7, initially the service was perfect, as usual, but by the end of dinner, it got worse. They came at the end of the main dish to ask if they could clean up there was still food in our plates, then during dessert see if they could clean up the table. A few minutes later, we finished, and they came back instantly, cleaned up the table, brought us the bill, and asked us how we wanted to pay. All of this is in the span of 1 or 2 minutes.
