Firstly despite some of my scores this really is a lovely restaurant and well worth visiting. We booked a table of 4 and they allowed me to bring my dog with me. Our table was right at the door and sort of out of the way of the rest of the restaurant which is understandable. On arrival we had fabulous service as we were the only people in the restaurant however as they got busier we were completely forgotten about. We sat for nearly 30mins with our main meal plates in front of us (2 were hardly touched) and no one came to take them away or ask what was the matter with the food. The starters were big and we shared two and they were amazing especial the bolognese. The artisan bread again was out of this world. The little appetiser and cocktail at the start - outstanding. Two of the main meals both the same dish, beef tenderloin, sadly was a huge disappointment and neither of us ate it. We felt like for a very long time we were just being ignored and this added to the disappointment. However the girl that then came and listened to what we had to say was very genuine and apologetic about the whole thing and removed both of these dishes from our bill. This was way more than we had expected. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and would return however I think I would have the Bolognese starter as my main meal and try a dessert. And my friend that had the oxtail croissant said...
Read moreOne of those places full of Ego but not much more. We arrived around 20:30 to an empty Restaurant, small party of 3... but there was no available table, the space was fully booked! Have been in the Restaurant business since my teens and I never accepted reservation to ALL my tables in any of the Restaurants. Well we went to the nearby 'El Lagar De San Vicente' and we did had an Amazing great dinner and in an great Historic building. Our luck.
Answering the Restaurant comment: my point is exactly about the poor management of reservations. Been in Restaurant business since I was born… and still having one Restaurant running, we never book the full space, we always leave a couple of available tables for walk-ins, the answer just gave me a bigger sense of frustration about the place. Not curious at all now, but please do a walk-in anytime in Portugal/Entroncamento - O Frango Real, and see how to...
Read moreZero stars, actually. The restaurant closes at 15:30. We are there at 14:15 as a walk in. The restaurant is completely empty. As in 100% empty, no exaggeration. They tell us we cannot be seated because they are “full”. Before we even finish our sentence, they turn around and walk away. Horrible service for an allegedly “Michelin restaurant”. Shame on you. All because we don’t speak much Spanish probably. Xenophobic bigots, regardless of how good your food is, you cannot give people preferential treatment. This was the only bad experience we had at...
