I’m absolutely furious about my experience at this restaurant. I went there alone, and because I was by myself, they refused to let me sit inside. They said the minimum for inside seating was two people, which I’ve never encountered before. Forced to sit outside next to a dog tied up to a post, I proceeded with my meal.
I ordered the all-you-can-eat buffet, and it took 20 minutes for my first order to arrive. After eating that, I went to order my next round, but an hour went by, and still no food. In that time, my menu was taken away for other customers to use, my table was moved, and all the chairs were taken away except for one. I had to sit there with no salt or pepper, no drink, and no menu for the entire hour! I politely asked the waiter about my food, only to be told to "calm down" because they were busy. I wasn’t rude, I was just asking if they had forgotten my order!
At that point, I had only eaten a soup, a few prawns (3), seaweed noodles, and 4 mussels after TWO HOURS of waiting. I couldn’t stay any longer, so I left. I went to the head waitress, offering to pay for the drink I had and a reasonable 10 Euros for the food I actually received, but was told, "You ordered the buffet, you pay for the buffet." I’ve had no buffet, through no fault OF MY OWN
I had to sit outside, next to a dog, waited over an hour for food THAT NEVER ARRIVED, and received terrible service. Please be warned, this is one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had.
I’m extremely upset and will not...
Read moreOnly two years old Asia Yami seems to have acquired a customer base quite quickly. The food is based around a buffet meal at 15.95. There is also an extensive Sushi menu. We had the set menu at 12.95 and a bottle of the house wine, a good Jumilla. The portions were not as large as some other Asian restaurants in the area but sufficient that we were full but not stuffed. I had chicken in red curry sauce, my husband had chicken Hong Kong style which turned out to be in a mild sweet and sour sauce which was well received by him. We had starters of chicken on skewers with satay sauce and spring roll. Then we refused dessert but had Two carajillos, which were well flavoured with Brandy. The service was good and attentive but we had to ask twice for our carajillos as the young waitress either forgot them or didn’t understand. This was our first time here, and we won’t definitely return but could see us bringing visitors here for a slightly different Asian experience. The decor is simple but well...
