Restaurante El Pescadito — Restaurant in Pilar de la Horadada

Our last night in Mil Palmeras and the restaurant had a flamenco show - fantastic, let’s go there!

We were seated and our drinks were ordered. Time was pressing on to the point we had to ask for our orders to be taken.

Food ordered, 3 pizza’s.

The food arrived and even those we asked for one not to have a particular ingredient it still arrived with it on and it only goes downhill from here.

The pizza was returned with the onions picked out with the odd few still present. Unfortunately the pizza was cold in the middle and the other 2 pizzas were pretty poor as well which is a shame - how do you get a pizza so wrong?! Thankfully we didn’t order meat/fish.

‘ la cuenta por favor’ no sooner did the bill come did we ask for a reduction from the full price. The waiter went back inside and brought someone else out who told me they cannot reduce the bill. Why?! The blame put back on me. Let me remind you they already got one of the pizzas wrong - not once after that did anyone ask how our food was?

Customer service is lacking in this place.

The flamenco dancers were excellent and from my own experience the only good point to this...

Terrible service. We ordered fried squid rings for a starter. They didnt fry it for more than 15 seconds and plated it on some sad lettuce. Are mains took 40 minutes to come. I ordered a salmon pasta which was really good but my mate ordered a medium rare steak which came well done. When we complained the waiter said nothing and did nothing when we expected a new one or a discount. We were not satisfied and just wanted to leave so we asked for our check. Then the waitor that was supposed to bring it was doing everything else but that. We ended up sitting at our table for 20 minutes waiting for our check and we decided to go inside so we could pay and leave. Went to the bar asked to pay our bill the bar staff (who was very rude) said one minute and we ended up standing there for ten more minutes. Too expensive also. Do not reccomend had a...

Such a shame as the flamenco dancing and ambience of the restaurant was lovely. The service and food was awful. I understand it was a busy night given the flaminco show but it took an hour for someone to get our food order sorted (we had to ask for someone ourselves), staff just kept walking past and ignoring us. The food arrived quickly but we hadn’t quite finished our bread and the plates were quickly whipped away and our mains plonked in-front if us. The pizza was awful, certainly incomparable to nearby competitor restaurants. All three were cold in the middle. One order was wrong so was sent back but the same happened again. We did flag this up with 2 different waiters, we were ignored and simply said there’s nothing that can be done. Begrudgingly we paid in full and left quite deflated. It ruined the evening...
