At the end of our island hopping trip of Lanzarote, Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura, we were looking around for a place to have our final dinner of the trip. We stumbled upon this little venue. Apparently it is very popular because most days you need to make a reservation. We got lucky though, and the owner immediately gave us the last remaining free table. Normally if you want to eat paella here, you need to arrange for that in advance. Fortunately other guests had done just that, and the owner also offered us some. I have to say that of our entire culinary tour on these islands, this was easily the best paella we've had. In fact it was the only one with real saffron and a crispy crust at the bottom. Absolutely delicious! To top it off it was complemented by the best sangria we've had! Very fruity, yet without artificial flavours or any harsh taste. So if you find yourself on Fuerteventura and appreciate the finer taste of properly prepared seafood and...
Read moreHad a really incredible meal in here, it's a family run restaurant that has mostly seafood but we both ended up eating the meat, bit sad we didn't get a full fish because they looked insane.
Doesn't matter though because the goat was absolutely out of this world. All of their produce is grown by themselves at their residence and most of the meat too I believe. The sangria is some of the best I've ever had and that's saying something, the house wine was 6 euros, for that price I didn't expect how great it was, ended up drinking most of a jug of the sangria and half a litre of wine to myself!
The family are very friendly, the host is great he was so nice to everyone, the walls with the maps of the canaries and the TV with all of the pictures of the farm and where the food comes from all gives a great vibrance to the place.
Wish I'd got more pictures but by far the best restaurant we went to on the island, you won't...
Read moreEl Bounty del Muelle is a very special restaurant! It's intimate, family run and their love and passion runs through into their food and service.
Their sangria is probably the best I have ever tasted and the house wine is also very nice. We discovered that the owners have a farm of which they grow their own grapes for the sangria.
I cannot fault the food we had. The pictures show the prawns (cooked to perfection), the goat stew and the cheesecake. The goat stew was delicious and caused a lot of jealousy in my boyfriend who ordered lamb chops.
Unfortunately I didn't get to try the fresh fish this time but next time we visit Fuerteventura and El Bounty it is on my list. Those I saw leave the kitchen looked very very tasty!
Thank you to the host and his wife, I was so glad to visit your restaurant and I hope to...
