We arrived there. We asked for a table. There were two guys, it seems that they didn’t want to attend us. So they send us upstairs, there’s plenty of table and they put us in a really bad spot, they didn’t even ask which table we would like to seat. In a couple of minutes it was full of people. Unbelievable, maybe they are all friends. The food were over price, very small quantity. The toaster’s bread was broken. The Fabada’s pot was less then a half. And they weren’t friendly. Really bad staff. The manage was walking around asking the other customer if everything was ok. He looked at us and didn’t come to our table to ask if is all good. I’m not rich, but if I go to a place to eat is because I have money to pay, and I really want to be treated with kindness. We work hard for good moments and we pay for good moments, nothing is free in this life. And honestly they look at you judging, so bad 😞. This is our experience. Maybe the review is not going to change anything but we need to speak up. I hope they change...

The small portion of squid the others ordered was brought to the table 30 minutes ago, but I won't touch seafood after a recent food poisoning incident in Comillas (bad razor clams - see my other recent review). And so I wait. We moved inside to get away from a table of cigar-smoking men. (5 minutes later) our food arrives. Bravo!! Mine is warm, but not hot. I suppose they don't want me to burn my mouth. The chicken is delicious or I'm just very hungry. Excellent flavor. A good sized portion. Tostado con gambas y pulpo is very good. Tostado con solomillo was rated excellent. Everywhere else was completely packed, so I definitely recommend reserving a table at the restaurant you’d like to go in Ribadesella. Here the food was pretty okay, but nothing special, although I must admit that the portions are huge. I found pixin pretty expensive for what it is, but it was tasty. Same goes for the “cheesecake” - it’s flan style - so be careful while ordering and ask if it’s “tarta de queso al horno” (classic cheesecake).
