Casanostra — Restaurant in Roquetas de Mar

Unacceptable behavior from the man who sold us sombrias.

Every second hour he came to check our bought tickets, and NOBODY else around us got this treatment.

We paid 10 euros for 2 chairs, it says we can have them until 20:00. He then proceeded to check us again, the third time he took our tickets, then he tore them apart in front of us and threw them at us, proceded to swear at us in Spanish. The man who did this is old and we will not be coming back again neither for food or drinks or sombrias.

This happened around 19:00.

Tourists should avoid this place, we felt really uncomfortable after this encounter and we felt like the man was being hostile towards us.

To add to the stupidity, this man wrote the wrong date on our tickets, then he crossed it out and wrote the correct date, and our guess it that he forgot about his own mistake and forgot the fact that we payd, and just assumed that we faked our tickets? Dont know what went through that mans head but he needs to get a new job if he cant...

We stopped in for a drink and some tapas. The location was great. It's right on the beach, so you look out over the white sun drenched sand to the horizon where tranquil sea meets the azure cloudless sky. Our waitress was really friendly and seeing that we were struggling with some items on the menu, she offered to translate for us. I odered the Salpicón de marisco and my Mum ordered Pollo a la Cerveza. I had a beer and Mum a bottle of water. My seafood salad tasted delicious and so fresh. When I had finished our waitress, seeing there was still some juices in my bowl offered me some bread to mop it up with, which I thought was a really nice touch. My Mum's Chicken was so tender the meat just fell off the bone and she commented how delicious it was.

I noticed that quite a few tables were reserved and set for meals so this is obviously a popular restaurant.

Ridiculously slow service. They didn’t tell us at the start that paellas take 40 mins so we weren’t allowed to order. We then had to wait 30 mins between the first and last mains coming out. Pork meal came without mushroom sauce as it had finished and no word said. Fried chicken said to come with vegetables and had none. Staff unapologetic and food in general just not overly good.
