Restaurante El Kriskel — Restaurant in Roses

This place was probably the biggest disappointment of our holiday. Based on the rating we were expecting an excellent dining experience. The service is very unattentive, my girlfriend was sitting 30 minutes at the table without noticing (while I was searching for a parking place). The daily menu was in french only, bit strange being in Catalonia. The fish was bitter and not very tasty, french fries soaked in oil. The goat cheese salad was more of a bacon salad than goat cheese. We had the menu (which is very cheap - 14 EUR with starter, main dish, wine and desert - you cannot beat it) and one dish a la carte (squids) - this one being definitely a much better choice. Maybe we should go for the burgers as there the reviews were...

Amazing place! By far the best in Roses! Delicious food, big portions, fair prices and really nice and kind people! Its a family business so go here instead of the other touristy places. Burger is incredible, fish and chips and salads delicious! Dont hesitate and go here, we had so many bad experiences with the restaurants in the area, this one is the best in the city! And delicious chupitos...

Empezamos por el principio. Terraza cuqui. Pequeña con música de ambiente acordé. Además de cubierta. Personal atento. Con la propietaria vigilando que todo esté perfecto. Aunque el menú está en francés ya que son franceses te la explican en un perfecto español. Baños diferenciados. No mixtos. La comida. Mi pareja cogió sepia. Blanda bien distribuida entre ensalada y patatas fritas CASERAS. Yo escogí una hamburguesa clásica que aunque fuese grande estaba tan bien preparada que se comía como mantequilla. Acompañada por una ensalada bien aliñada. Patatas solas con salsa alioli casera.... La pareja de mi derecha se tomó un chuletón de 1kilo que aunque estaba preparada a la plancha quedó al punto.
