Went here with a couple of colleagues for a celebratory birthday dinner. The establishment overall was very clean and have friendly staff. I ordered Fried Cheese, Fish Tacos, and Steak Tacos.
The Fried Cheese was delicioso * insert chef’s kiss here* MWAH! It was flavorful and possessed the right mixture of textures. A hot crunchy outside with a nice gooey center, thus creating the perfect symbiotic relationship in one’s mouth. It also came with a side of salsa verde dipping sauce, something I’ve never had paired with fried cheese before. I still have dreams about that sauce.
Next the fish tacos, whom my tarheelian colleague raved on about non stop as we made the long trek there. The fish tacos definitely lived up to the hype. From first bite your mouth is hit with a burst of flavor explosions. The sauce, the pico and lime all go so well together, perfect harmony.
Furthermore when it comes to the steak tacos, my only complaint is that they could have been marinated just a wee bit more but that was remedied swiftly with a splash of hot sauce of which Vale Madres will provide if asked. The steak tacos were cooked just right, not too chewy, not too tough. They really mastered the art of cooking beef.
Lastly Vale Madres is a nice hidden gem nestled in Rota, a restaurant worth coming back to for...

Víctor, Raúl and their whole team are simply amazing. We stumbled upon Vale Madres on our first night in the city and decided to stay around longer just to come back to this restaurant: The service is extraordinary - the recommendations made by the waiters adapted really well to our needs/tastes and made the evening perfect. Food wise - we tried the burrata salad from the menu of the day, followed by quesadillas, chicken tacos and another taco set with Pedro Ximenez cooked meat. Super cool drinks - one of the waitresses recommended the Margarita on the rocks and it truly was one of the highlights of the night for me.
Summarizing: try Vale Madres as soon as you can and you’ll want to come back...
