El Alambique — Restaurant in Rota

Went for a large group dinner of 14, which they were able to sit the group inside. They are quick to get drink and food orders. Turnaround for food is average; as expected forbthe large group. I ordered tapa-size mussels and an Angus burger. Mussels were good. The Angus burger was okay; not the best I have had. Decent size patty, and the cook on the burger was on point. The bacon, however, was not crispy; limp and floppy bacon. Two friends both ordered the ribeye, but you can tell each had a different cut of meat; maybe one ribeye and one flank steak. For drinks, I had a bottle of water, and a pitcher of sangria. The sangria was not sangria. It was overly sweet like a fruit punch; there was sugar at the bottom of the pitcher. This was one of the worst restaurants I’ve visited in my life. The meat was so oily it would have been enough to supply the King of Saudi Arabia for a year. The service was nonexistent and the workers were the laziest I’ve ever seen. It took about 1 hour just to receive the menu and order, then another 1 hour for food, and finally another 1 hour just to pay the bill! Never have I been in a restaurant where they are literally too lazy to get paid. We had to beg and ask them 7 times to pay! 5 hours in that dirty restaurant and all we left with was an empty stomach and a bad taste in our mouths. Ordered from Glovo and restaurant canceled my order. A women called and claimed my house wasn't in Rota. She was very confrontational. I was within 5km and 3 further away restaurants on Glovo deliver to my house. Then she said they couldn't deliver because of the weather. They wanted me to come get the food instead. I asked to cancel and she said they couldn't and I'd have to call Glovo customer service to get my 50€ back. I had a local friend call and then magically she cancelled the order.
