Came here with a friend who lives in Sabadell and wanted to show us a traditional Catalan restaurant. And traditional they are. Menu in Catalan only (just kidding, with a QR code you can get it in other languages).
Menu is not very extensive, which indecisive me likes. Some tapas options, some main courses. They will greet you with some olives, sparkling water and vermouth (which you can mix for a tasty apéritif). We got jamón and manchego cheese as appetizers, as well as some bread with tomato spread. Ham and cheese worked well together, combining the strong cheesy flavor with some nice smokiness. A cup of red wine tied everything together well.
We all ordered medium rare entrecôte afterwards. Not all of them were cooked exactly the same, and I would’ve liked mine a little redder. Add a pinch of salt and seasoning is good. The steak itself was tender and juicy. Some veggies on the side for yumminess.
The owner was a very very nice gentleman who let me take photos of the upper part which wasn’t open that day. Service is also attentive and will be glad to answer questions about dishes in Spanish as well as Catalan. Didn’t try English so I’m not sure if they speak it.

Read moreDissabte a la nit vam anar a sopar tres parelles d’amics. Teníem taula reservada a les 21:30 h i vam arribar puntuals. Només entrar per la porta, l’encarregat ja ens va començar a posar pressió dient-nos que havíem d’afanyar-nos perquè a les 23 h tancaven. No es referia només a la cuina —que és comprensible— sinó a tot el restaurant. Ens ho va repetir diverses vegades mentre estàvem mirant la carta i fent la comanda.
Això va fer que el sopar es visqués amb una sensació constant de pressa, gairebé d’incomoditat. Fins i tot vam acabar fent broma sobre si valia la pena demanar res més, perquè potser ni ens ho portarien a temps.
El més sorprenent va ser que, passades les 22 h, va entrar un grup de més de deu persones i van ser atesos amb tota normalitat. Ens vam quedar força desconcertats.
Al final, vam sortir cap a les 22:30 h, amb la sensació que hauríem pogut tenir una experiència molt millor si ens haguessin deixat sopar...
