Bar El Cuesta — Restaurant in Salobreña

Salobreña is a town that myself and my young family have grown to love over the last few years. However, some of the absolute highlights of our trips are always our visits to Bar El Cuesta.

Honestly, I'd have to say that it is my favourite bar/restaurant (and one of my favourite places in general) in the entire world.

The food (both the free tapas and the raciones) is absolutely incredible, the drinks are exactly how you would want them, and Antonio is the warmest, most convivial host you could possibly meet - helping to make Bar El Cuesta one of the most enjoyable places you could ever visit.

Okay, well, I'm overwhelmed to be able to write about this bar-best tapas-friendly, let's- dring-to-that with friends that you just met' kind of bar. Si, all that and more. (If you find some opinionated politically incorrect lady, just follow up.) Lol Antonio and the start of the "yummy tapas" beautiful lady in the kitchen is a delight to watch maneuvering 1st and second. Funny that a fan of the place is Antonio also; great guy from a restaurant close by. If you are in Salobreña, this is the place to have a good time and to remember forever. Very much...

Perfect place. Dive bar aesthetic, super unpretentious owner, amazing food! We arrived after the kitchen had closed but the owner still took the trouble to make us a nice tapa to go with our drink. He told us stories and practiced his English with us. Delicious and super fun....
