Cafè del far, Salou — Restaurant in Salou

The food is not bad here. The drinks are pretty good. The manager lacks social skills. I’m on vacation, I might not know the rules here but I own an apartment in Cap Salou and come here annually. I bought drinks one night intending to eat dinner there and wanted to go for a short walk around the block, the manager insisted I pay for the drinks before I come back to order my food. No offense taken that’s not a big deal. Then a few days later I came to order a pizza for dinner but had an almost empty beer in my hand and my girlfriend had a chocolate milk. As soon as I sat down I ordered another beer, but the manager came and said I can’t bring drinks from outside. The reason I brought a drink was because I used the restroom of the cafe next door and didn’t want to use without buying anything. You may ask why I didn’t use Cafe Del Far’s restroom? Because it’s almost 40 degrees C in there. As soon as he repeated himself that I couldn’t bring my own drink even after I explained why I had it I realized that this guy is clearly not 1. Chill 2. A guy that values the community more than making a couple extra euros on a single beer. I’m a fair guy, I’m not here to trash anybody’s reputation but I can say that today I was going to buy 30-40 Euros of food and drink but the managers lack of flexibility and understanding made me go somewhere else to eat. Visited multiple times last year when staying in Cap de Salou, on account of the lovely owner, ace craft beer selection & great vegan food. Stayed in Salou this year but still made the trek out to check back in, which is a testament to how highly we rate this establishment.

This place has a great vibe in the evening, with lovely lighting on the terrace (situated adjacent to a quiet road) & a truly solid selection of craft beers from Spain and around the world. This is complemented by an extensive range of well-crafted cocktails. The vegan options are excellent and I always left satisfied. I am assured by those with whom I visited that their other food offerings are similarly stellar. Availability of Tabasco and Valentina hot sauce solidifies this as a favourite spot in the area.

Support this place if one can; even if staying in Salou, it’s worth the (scenic) wander along the coast. Salou can come to feel over-busy and at times stifling in its crowdedness- this place is an...

So glad we found this spot mid way through holidays so we could visit more than once...we loved it!!!

Everything is delightful, the food was incredible we had a range of items and everything so fresh and the favours were unbelievable...

The drinks...😍...the Mojitos were 10/10!!!!

We also had some other cocktails that were all beautiful ❤️...

The service was fabulous...we dined with our kids who are 6 and 2 years old who were not only welcomed but made feel special ❤️

I would holiday in this area again just to dine here, so...
