A Must-Visit Gem – Richard’s Tavern

We absolutely loved our time at Richard’s Tavern! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome – always greeting us with a smile at the door. Their friendliness and hard work stood out every single day. We ended up coming here daily, sometimes even twice a day – it quickly became our go-to spot for food and drinks!

The food was consistently brilliant, with generous portions and unbeatable prices. The doner kebab on pitta bread was my personal favourite – I ordered it every time! The onion bhajis were also delicious, and others in our group really enjoyed the pizzas, wraps, chips, and burgers. Drinks were just as impressive, with pints only €2.50 and tasty cocktails like the Francisco and creamy Baileys shots. We even received free shots and lollipops for the kids – such a thoughtful touch.

The restaurant itself is spotless – clean, tidy, and clearly well looked after. It’s easy to see how much pride the team takes in what they do. Every time we visited, we noticed familiar faces from the night before – a sure sign of a great place with happy customers coming back again and again. Even when it was busy, the wait time was short, and the food was well worth it. If there was an award for best Restaurant Richard’s Tavern would win 🥇

Huge thanks to all the team at Richard’s Tavern for making our holiday even more special. With our hotel just a 2-minute walk away (Enter2 Apartments), this place couldn’t have been more perfect. Out of all the places we tried, Richard’s Tavern is hands down the best eatery in the area for both food and drinks. To night Thursday we go for our last meal before home time tomorrow.

The man outside this place is dangerous. He walked up to me and my friends (three girls) and said “I’m angry at you” and pointed at us. We never met him before this. He then followed us up the road saying “angry ladies” and hissing at us.

I don’t think this man is just angry - he’s threatening and dangerous. This is completely unacceptable behaviour. We couldn’t walk this street for the rest of our holidays!

The next day he saw me he was giving me gestures. How is someone so angry for no reason? It’s Never met this man before- no reason for him to be like this. I don’t know him.

The irony here is that this place was on our street- I probably would have eaten here eventually over the week. But he scared us off it. Would strongly encourage business owners to replace this man’s job if you want business...

When in Salou - make this restaurant a must! The food is absolutely bang-on and very well priced for the portion size. The service level is to be admired and the whole team really do work so hard to guarantee your experience as 10/10. You can eat and drink here with no concerns regarding quality so rest assured you will have a good time even if you pop in for just a bite to eat. You all do a really great job and should be proud for what you all do and have - Good luck to you all, it was a real pleasure and thank you for making such a positive contribution to our stay.
