We ate here because we read the good reviews. We ordered bruschetta to share and both chose a pasta with walnuts and truffle for our main course. The pasta was salty, and it kind of tasted like fake truffle. But the reason I’m writing this review is because we both got sand in our food. They must have not rinsed the mushrooms probably. We shrugged when the waiter asked us how the food was, but he didn’t seem to care that we weren’t loving the food. Later the chef came out of the kitchen and went round to every table. When he came to our table we were honest. We could tell he got upset, and he blamed us for being the only two that got sand in their food. Because they deal with kilos of mushrooms and we were the only once’s to ever experience this. He did offer us a new meal but didn’t want that. We decided to finish our wine and then we asked for the bill. Here we noticed that they had only billed us for the wine. We argued and wanted to pay our meal, but they wouldn’t let us. “We like the plates empty here” the waiter said. We instead chose to tip then a bit because we didn’t want them to think we complained to get out of paying. There should never be sand in food and they weren’t apologetic but the rose from Providence...
Read moreWe found a small, wonderful, french restaurant in San Augustin during our vacation at Gran Canaria. The restaurant is located on the second floor in a shopping centre, but with outside access, which makes the atmosphere not perfect, but still very comfortable.
The major upsides are the quality of the food and the outstanding service from the waiters (middle-aged men with a lot of knowledge and an absolute outstanding mindset of service).
The visited the restaurant twice, during our week at Gran Canaria, and we were definitely not dissapointed any of these visits. We examined both the fish, meat, and duck alternatives, including some really great desserts, and with the food wine recommendations were absolutely stunning.
This is, most certainly, a restaurant that we will return to, the next timme we are at Gran Canaria, and I can fully recommend a visit (you will not be disappointed.
I recommend that you make a reservation, because the restaurant was rather busy, both of the times that...
Read moreWe had dinner at this wonderful French restaurant and absolutely loved everything about it. We ordered the duck magret and the beef steak with foie gras — both dishes were simply perfect! The duck was tender and full of flavor, the steak was cooked exactly as requested, and the foie gras melted in the mouth.
The service was outstanding — very friendly, attentive, and professional. The atmosphere was elegant yet cozy, with that unmistakable French charm that makes you want to stay longer and enjoy every moment.
It was one of those rare dinners where everything feels right — food, wine, service, ambiance — 100%. Highly recommend this place for anyone who appreciates fine French cuisine and a true dining experience.Highly recommended! Will...
