Bar Restaurante La Caleta — Restaurant in San Bartolomé

My partner and I just back from months holiday in playa honda where we loved all the restaurants we visited with exception of La Caleta. My partner is disabled and has mobility scooter. We went to sit at a table but we're dismissed with a wave of the hand. We asked if we could sit but again dismissed. This gesture was made by member of staff..... portly gentleman thinning hair. It was very embarrassing as there were other diners there . In this day and age either need to review their disabled policy or get staff/management more considerate of disabled people.....this person should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. This was the only negative thing on an otherwise perfect holiday in a beautiful part...

We waited for a table and when one became available we sat down. This was not okay and the waitress shouted at us. When we sat down across on the wall to wait for another table we were scurried away and told it was not possible. There was no explanation if they happened to be booked for one hour or two or the whole day. It is a shame because we have been here many times before for a lovely meal, and now will never return because of the rudeness we faced. If we sat down incorrectly, all that had to be done...

I did not want to leave a review before I headed back to the U.K. as I did not want this place to get too busy with holidaymakers! A real local restaurant on the sea front with excellent tapas type menu local beers and plentiful wine . If you plan to come at their busy times you can book. Table . Full off locals , full of flavour our favourite and a third of the price of restaurants next door . But beware all the food ordered tends to come at once always served on a cold plate the...
