La Marea Restaurant — Restaurant in San Bartolomé

Unfortunately, the service is very very bad. We came for a an evening coffee and snack and would have liked to have a bottle of wine or maybe some cocktails, but the staff ignored us fully and longterm after they delivered the dessert. One of the ladies would sit in her uniform at the next table to us, bringing herself wine and smoking, but noone cared to ask us whether we would like something more or even clear the table, care about payment, nothing - walking past us heads turned away for more than 40minutes. Really strange situation and unacceptable approach to customers. The desert and coffee were actually really nice, but the careless staff ruined the night for us. Nothing to recommend unless you want to feel like seethrough glass.

Edit after restaurants comment: Yes, I was sitting in the restaurant, and yes it is this restaurant. and the lady did wear the tshirt same logo on her shoulder and same design with the guy, that was unattentive and rude. I can send you a GPS location. :-) maybe she was not smoking it was one of the other people at the table and it looked like it belonged to her. But yes, she was walking up and down inside/out with a glass of white wine a few times, while we did not exist to the staff for 40minutes. So yes we could see the staff...

EPIC FAIL!!!! We have eaten here several times in the last few years and enjoyed good food and sea views. However, on this occasion, the food was terrible. Our Gazpacho starter was a glass of liquidised vegetables which was bitter and unpleasant because it was not blended smoothly. The main course was no better, a strange mix of over and undercooked rice in a pan which was supposed to be seafood paella but contained two mummified prawns and a few bits of squid. When we complained to the waiter that we hadn't eaten much as it was not good at all he shrugged and said it was the same as usual. I'm sorry to say that was the last time I will ever eat there or recommend it. I don't mind adequate food if the staff are friendly but in this case the staff didn't care that we sent a 30 euro paella back mostly uneaten. Just because the restaurant reaps the benefits of a good location with high tourist numbers that is no excuse to become complacent and uncaring about your customers. Experiencia decepcionante en un restaurante que solía recomendar

Ayer fui a almorzar a un restaurante al que habitualmente acudía con familiares y amigos, y que también recomendaba a mis clientes de casas vacacionales. Lamentablemente, la experiencia fue muy decepcionante debido al trato recibido.

Pedimos varias tapas para compartir, entre ellas un plato de croquetas. Al probarlas, nos resultaron poco apetecibles, ya que solo tenían sabor a bechamel y no contenían ni carne ni pescado, como esperábamos. Cuando la camarera vino a retirar el plato, nos preguntó por qué no habíamos comido las croquetas, y amablemente le explicamos que, lamentablemente, no nos habían gustado.

Pocos minutos después, otra camarera vino a nuestra mesa para decirnos que habían probado las croquetas en la cocina y que no estaban malas. Le aclaramos, de nuevo de forma cordial, que en ningún momento habíamos dicho que estuvieran en mal estado, simplemente que no nos habían gustado. Su respuesta fue un simple "para gustos, colores", lo cual nos pareció poco profesional, pero no le dimos mayor importancia en ese momento.

Continuamos con nuestra comida y, tras terminar los platos, intentamos pedir café. Sin embargo, tras varios intentos, fuimos completamente ignoradas por el personal. Ante la falta de atención, decidimos pedir la cuenta y marcharnos. Pagamos el total sin ningún problema.

Lo más sorprendente llegó al salir del restaurante: al despedirnos amablemente del personal, su respuesta fue "hasta luego, pero no vuelvan", seguido de risas entre los camareros. Este gesto nos dejó completamente atónitas, ya que nuestra intención siempre fue expresar nuestra opinión de forma respetuosa y constructiva.

Dado el trato recibido y la falta de profesionalidad del equipo, lamentablemente ya no volveré ni recomendaré este restaurante a mis conocidos o clientes. Una experiencia que podría haberse resuelto con empatía y atención al cliente terminó siendo muy...
