AJ's restaurant & bar — Restaurant in San Fulgencio

We visited this place as a family exactly 1 year ago and it was brill. The staff where very professional and considerate towards customers and always appeared to thrive for customer satisfaction. Unfortunately this year round we all went as a family again and it took nearly an hour for food to arrive, when i asked about the fish, the waitress stated that she doesn't have a clue she just went and bought it from the supermarket, automatically admitting that it was frozen and not fresh. When the food finally arrived the childs lasagne was microwaved and the new Yorker chicken was rubbery as if microwaved, gammon cooked properly and full of fat and the steak was pouring with grease. Worst of all the potato and leek soup had plastic in it and when the main meal came the same person had a large piece of what appeared to be shrink wrap in the beef dish. As a family we are very disgusted in the service and quality of food and therefore would highly recommend people to be careful when eating here. This could of been the child's meal and easily an incident could of occurred. We are never eating here again which is such a shame as it was a fantastic restaurant when under management by previous owners....

Have visited Js on many occasions and not been disappointed. Arrived last night without a booking, it was busy but they still managed to accommodate us, when seating us we were advised that there might be a bit of a wait as it was busy, we were happy to sit and have a drink pondering the menu. There were so many lovely dishes on the menu it was differcult to chose, something for everyone. The meals arrived very promptly, no wait as expected, both our meals were delicious, hot well presented and very tasty, veg was served in a separate dish and was cooked to perfection. We had a bottle of house rose to accompany our meal which was nice too, finished off with a Eaton mess, perfect. Js is a real hidden gem, go for a visit you won't be disappointed, some have said previously its expencive but I disagree, excellent value for money a very varied menu, beautiful tasty food, helpful, polite and attentive staff. Thankyou Js we will be back. P.s we didn't manage to get tickets...

This was a return visit for us. Drinks and food order taken from two very pleasant staff. The starters were all tasty. Bad points- 3 of us had the “ slow cooked beef “ the beef was very very chewy and stringy and none of us finished our meal. As the plates were taken away we made our server aware of the poor beef dish. She apologised for this and said she would bring it to the attention of the chef. When we got the bill no one from the restaurant approached our table to apologise or to offer any recompense, like a free coffee or a deduction from our bill. This is poor customer service.
