Restaurante Asia — Restaurant in San Javier

Restautant Asia was recommend to us by a friend on the basis they did a buffet meal for 10 euro's. This wouldn't normally be my thing but I thought I would give it a try. Upon arrival I was pleasantly surprised by the venue itself, looked a lot more upmarket than I was expecting, decent seating, not crammed in and decent decor. It would appear the buffet no longer exists but instead the menu now offers a meal for 10 euros served at your table (better IMO). For this, you get a stater, prawn crackers, half a bottle of wine or a beer or soft drink, main course with either rice or noodles and a desert. The portion size exceeded my expectations and the way it was presented was quite honestly, brilliant. Very friendly staff, no pressure to get out so they can turn the table over. We chose a set menu for four people and as two people were unable to eat prawns (one had a severe allergy and the other would be violently ill) we asked to swap the sweet and sour prawns for sweet and sour pork and we were told this would be ok. We had a lovely starter and also crispy duck pancakes but the main course was a complete let down. After one bite of a "pork"ball, I realised it was prawn and they hadn't substituted as asked. The person with the allergy was already eating one and he immediately had to take antihistamines. Luckily we avoided any problems but it could have been so dangerous. We complained and they immediately changed the dish, but didn't seem to realise why we were so upset and they made very little of it, not even apologising. Acudi a este restaurante situado a escasos 2km del centro de la ciudad de San Javier, en una zona tranquila donde se encuentra junto a varios restaurantes. Se trata de un restaurante típico de cocina asiática por lo que en su carta se pueden encontrar platos como rollitos de primavera, tallarines, arroz tres delicias, carnes o mariscos con salsas y demás. En nuestro caso acudimos dos personas un domingo al medio día y nos decantamos por un menu par dos personas por 25€ (el más caro) que incluía para empezar entremeses variados con muslitos de cangrejo fritos que estaban bien por el interior sin pasarse y por fuera con un rebozado crujiente, costillas que fueron de lo que más me gustó ya que estaban fritas pero muy jugosas y se deshacian, rollito Hong Kong que estaba bueno con bastante verdurita por dentro y una superficie frita, wan tun frito que fue lo que menos me gustó ya que estaba frito sin más y sin apenas relleno, tostado de gambas con sésamo que para acompañas con los muslitos y la costilla estaba bien. De principales dim-sun mixto que traía una amplia variedad con algunos de carne (ternera,cerdo y pollo) de verduras, pescado y marisco que tenían una masa bastante gelatinosa que estaba rica y servía bien para envolver el contenido que estaba bueno de sabor, pollo empanado con salsa agridulce que tenía un muy buen rebozado sin ser aceitoso y el Interior bastante tierno con un salsa que le daba mayor jugosidad, tie-pan de ternera tailandesa que tenía un toque picante y que venía bastante caliente con verduritas y mucho sabor. Como guarnición nos trajeron arroz frito y tallarines ambos bien hechos con algo de salsa de soja y con grandes cantidades. Finalmente acabamos con los postres que pedimos un par de tajadas de melon fresquito y que después de la comida caliente entraba genial, junto con una bola de helado de chocolate que también entraba genial y rico de sabor.
