Restaurante Taste of India - Sabor de la India — Restaurant in San Javier

They have a restaurant by the shore of the Mar Menor, a protected sea that has suffered greatly from pollution and is now recovering. At first glance, it seems like a restaurant with native food and people of Indian origin, which tempts you to visit it.

However, while eating, you see them all on the grass, touching their feet and smoking, then entering and exiting the kitchen, with cooking clothes, with all the doors wide open, as if they were cooking outside. And the worst part is seeing how they throw the remains of sodas and drinks, ashtrays, bread, and food scraps into the Mar Menor... literally, they empty the dirty tables into the sea. Fortunately, they don't throw cans, probably because they would be detected and fined. We plan to talk to our Spanish friends to report the restaurant. Needless to say, we won't be returning. Moreover, when you tell them not to do it, they laugh at you as if you were stupid and walk away... but they keep doing it.

Let's remember that it is strictly prohibited to throw any type of food, drink, or waste that could affect the flora and fauna of the Mar Menor.

Such a wonderful experience! My wife and I are both vegan and gluten free. The staff was very knowledgeable and we were able to order several options. Multiple team members checked in with us to ask how the food was. Everyone was so friendly and each dish was fantastic. We had Bombay potatoes, saag aloo, sweet and sour curry, rice, and chips with plenty left over to bring home. We dined on the patio with our pup and had a perfect view of the sunset over the water.
