Initially, I went to try this place out with my mum to try it out and the first time, we actually got up and left because the waitress literally ignored us. We ourselves had to call her attention, despite the fact that we were stood right the entrance waiting to be seated... In the end, we sat ourselves down. And when she did eventually turn up, she just chucked us the menus and never came back. So, we tried another day to give the place a second chance, as its in a very practical location.
However, we left equally as disappointed - if not more. Between the fact that the young Caucasian girl with dark hair had a face like a slapped arse and was unwilling to help at all, or ask to have one small ingredient in a dish changed for something else they also serve, she brought me a miserable miso soup that I had to send back to the kitchen, as it lacked greens and had basically zero tofu. And of course, they just brought back the same miserable dish with basically zero greens or tofu, as seen in the photos. The owner however insisted that it was good when it clearly was not.
On top of this, we also had endure listening to the owners shout at their kids and hear how the the staff polish and bash about cutlery in the actual restaurant rather than in the kitchen. We never went back.
The food was average and the service was appalling. And the only positive thing about this place is the interior design - other than that, it's absolutely hopeless. Unless this place changes owners and staff, or takes drastic measures, I don't see this place ever improving. Don't waste your money or time coming here; you're better off going to the plenty of much better Asian and fusion restaurants...
Read moreDecided to try out this restaurant as it typically crowded during lunch on weekends so do be sure to make a reservation in advance to not be disappointed. The interior is nicely done, with modern furnitures and lightings though the table seating for 5 could get a little tight. We were 4 adults + 1 child so we ordered a sushi platter along with some gyozas, fried noodles, roasted duck and a bowl of Tom Yam soup for sharing. The fried noodles was by far one of the best we have had in awhile however everything else was rather mediocre (nothing special). The Tom Yam soup also tasted abit off in the sense that you could taste a strong presence of vinegar (though it was our poor choice as one should never order Thai from a Chinese place). To end our meal, we also ordered Asiatico which was served in a tall glass (same type of glass used for beer) which we found odd cos the ratio was way off with amount of coffee superseding liquor /condensed milk. Also hope the management would consider investing in proper glasses with holder as it was a struggle to drink hot beverage from tall beer glass. That being said we'd love to come back again to try the other available Chinese food (and would perhaps suggest others to order those instead of sushi / Tom Yam soup). Price was party reasonable at approximately average...
Read moreFirst time visiting this restaurant and will be my last. The service was shocking, the waitress and waiter were rude and disinterested. Starters came intermittently, I had mine finished by the time the others came there were five in the party. Table wasn't cleared and the mains began to arrive firstly mine which was a sizzling beef with noodles, the beef came and the noodles ten mins later and literally thrown in front of me the other mains followed in similar fashion, all were cold. The waitress when we told her took it as a personal insult that we complained. Eventually the manageress came down and said she would sort it out but all she did was bring back the same plates of food Luke warm and with the same finesse as a bull in a china shop. As a dining experience and it was an experience it has to be one of the most horrendous dinning experience I have ever experienced. I would advise anyone thinking of eating in this establishment to go next door to pepco and buy a bar...
